I think Caleb’s situation is the typical "he’s been alone forever and now he’s found the right person". But since they were betrothed before birth the only explanation feels like he was always alone but knowing that someone in the world belongs to him and he belongs to them might have given him the hope he’s not alone. So to love a person since birth and for so many years his feelings are getting out of hand I think he’s cute
