So basically Eclis betrays her by bringing the "real" yvonne back to the mansion. This can’t be called a complete betrayal for 1 reason though. The "real" yvonne is actually dead and it’s a demon(i think) using her appearance. She tempts Eclis by saying he could have mc if he does what she says. but it’s a betrayal because Eclis could’ve resisted the temptation but he wanted the fl so much he falls to temptation. he’s completely aware of all his actions and thus responsible.
Also the "real" yvonne does the typical "i’m innocent oh my éveil sister is bullying me" acting. She can make ppl dream about stuff so she puts the idea that she’s innocent and fl is evil in their minds. The eldest son derrick is a complete dick until the very end of the novel. He completely falls for her tricks and continues to blame the fl even when the fl is poisoned right before his eyes. no redemption for him. Second son with pink hair better than Derrick. Best boy and ML is prince.

1) i don’t understand the people comparing Hyesung’s mother abandoning him with Hyesung being absent for the first part of Byul’s life. Yeah that was bad but y’all gotta remember Hyesung was literally coerced into having a child. + that situation was partly manipulated by Heesoo. Also how tf are u gonna compare Hyesung with Byul? Byul’s father isn’t abusing Byul physically and mentally. byul doesn’t live in the constant fear his father is gonna sell him off, he doesn’t see him mother being abused by his father. don’t compare them. it’s not the same. also Hyesung CAME BACK.
2) Let the damn man get some time off! HE JUST CAME FACE TO FACE WITH HIS ABUSER!! who is his father! and then that father told him everything he’s believed about his mother is false! The one person Hyesung believed in his life was his mother! and now to be told that person also abandoned him is gonna take its toll on his mental health.

i know y’all like Heesoo more than Hyesung but Heesoo was insensitive af this chapter. "shake it off"? u can’t just shake off ur past and ur abuser. And then taking Byul in to see his mother like that? yeah insensitive. how would that child feel? he won’t know what Hyesung is going through so he would only feel that his mom doesn’t want to see him or hates him.
