I just finished ch 41 and I can finally say I truly like Yuri, she has a backbone, I am so glad she didn't give in when Aono (maybe dark Aono?) asked her to choose between him and Fujimoto, this time it wasn't for him as all other decisions she's made were, all of them revolved around him and how he felt, like when she doesn't give into dark Aono just because Aono would feel bad (that's some mental gymnastics there, but then again she kind of was suicidal so I guess it makes sense she didn't really care about herself), this time she didn't give in because Fujimoto is an important friend to her and she realizes this ask was kind of abusive by comparing it how her sister treats her
I'm on ch 23 and all I can say is that I ship Fujimoto and Yuri because welp, Fujimoto is alive UNLESS Yuri will never ever ever get over Aono then in that case I don't ship them because Fujimoto deserves someone to truly love him
The thing is, Yeonwoo you gotta also admit that you just used his feelings of guilt and responsibility towards you once again to force him to talk to you, you manipulated him, (wearing inadequate clothes in this weather, shoes, bringing up things he feels horrible about and takes on blame for) you gotta say, ye I manipulated you one last time just now and you reacted just the way I thought you would

Guyssss I’m on ch 11 and I really really reeeeally hate snake lady, the way it seems like it’s going is she’s going to take advantage of red’s inexperience and the age gap AND will abuse her power over her to coerce her into a sexual relationship that Red obviously does not want (kinda rapey), I really hate snake lady right now, does it get better, does she have a satisfying character arc where I don’t hate her guys?????
It gets better the beginning is just really toxic but it does get better
mf they were both horrible & toxic to each, that's the point like the other user said. it's more icky that you're making it seem like other is a minor when they're both full blown adults.
that aside, the writing is good, author takes her take time with the development and their bg story just comes off naturally so you wont feel overwhelmed. they both go through character developement with each other.

Sorry guys, Hikaru our ml has been dead since ch1 and Yoshiki began keeping ‘Hikaru’ around because of his grief and love over Hikaru, he’d rather have the spectre of Hikaru than not have him around, isn’t that tragically beautiful and poetic? The story has never changed even after the confirmation that there won’t be any romance between ‘Hikaru’ and Yoshiki, Yoshiki will forever be haunted by his love and longing for Hikaru, that’s the eerie poetic thing you guys think you’re missing because the “BL tag was removed” except it’s not missing and it’s still there, it’s still hauntingly beautiful and tragic

Yeah I think people are not understanding that nothing is being retconned. It’s just not a romance manga. A better tag would be LGBT and then romance if there was any as two separate tags. I think people don’t understand that bl isn’t only used as a romance + gay men tag in Japanese manga spheres. LGBT manga doesn’t really know where to be categorized because it doesn’t fit neatly into any bl or gl label because it’s not always romance. Like “my lesbian experience with loneliness”, so we call it gl because it’s a queer story? It’s not romance and def not focused on love but instead the authors mental health and sexuality struggles. GL/BL labels we never designed for queer people or stories. They were designed to be consumed as a genre by straight Japanese people so none of this was taken into consideration. Doesn’t help that some sites haven’t adapted to have an lgbt tag and they they use the fake term “shounen ai” which is NOT what BL is called in Japan but instead westerners doing a very literal translation of “BL”
