i don't know what's happening with the author of this manhwa, leaving so many gaps between the chapters…. it's not the first time a chapter starts completely differently from how the previous one ended (there was this one when sooae found out that eunhyuk’a dad had a lover and we never found out how she discovered that except for a single out of context scene that showed her seeing him with another woman)
anyway im really enjoying the love triangle but there are so many things that still confuse me ): even though the bus accident involving sooae and eunhyuk happened, i think her sudden and seemingly random fear of being near him a bit nonsensical. its also so heartbroken for me seeing dohwa being left aside because, between both guys, he's the one who captured my heart ): the thing about sooae having a connection to that book also leaves me quite confused, because????? she doesn't even seem to be doing anything related to the book lol anyway i really like the manhwa but there are so many pieces of information that seem out of context and without proper explanation (but I keep reading and having love filled outbursts due to the romance lol)
Her connection with the book is that she's made a fanfiction of it with the male lead the creator of the "heart app" (I forget his name) likes! And that book is apparently his favorite, so he basically wants her to keep updating her fanfiction, which is why he lets her stick around even though she's a "malfunction" in his creation.
I totally get your points though, it seems to have driven away from the original plot a lot. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
yesss i remember that fanfic thing, but honestly it was only mentioned that one time as an explanation of how the weirdo from the company met sooae, and then she never touched that fanfic again kkfkfkkkk maybe this will be important later in the story, but for now it's an information that's only remembered every once in a while so it always seems off
i feel so frustrated that the author poorly developed dan's feelings for jaekyung. from the beginning dan makes it clear that he has a sensitive issue with sexuality due to that incident with his ex professor’s (or boss?) abuse attempt. and jaekyung represents all that violence. dan literally trembled with fear just being near him because of all the violence. and now, the author is using the sexual pleasure that dan has LEARNED to feel as a way to justify transforming his feelings towards jaekyung into love. meanwhile, heesung is there, representing everything dan never had with anyone except his grandmother: giving him gifts, showering him with words of affirmation, and seeming like the type of person willing to take time out of his day to visit someone he cares about. ofc he's way too emotional hahah but he’s still a promise of a loving boyfriend who brings security and comfort. but ofc even though that's everything dan needs and logically would appreciate in someone, he won't fall for him; instead, he'll fall for the guy who embodies all the violence he endured from both professor/boss and those gangsters :) how nice :)
I wanted heesung dating dan ofc cause he’s soooo green flag, but since i know thats not happening: IM SO EXCITED ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF HEESUNG AND POTATO BEING A COUPLE OMG i love the cliche where the character falls in love with someone who is different from what they usually feel attracted to, and after heesung called potato ugly (CRAZY???) i immediately started to ship them just because we already know that he is kinda obsessed with pretty people and falls in love easily with them hahaha
i cant even feel hopeful about jaekyung being jealous cause he's definitely the type who forces sex during jealousy to teach the other a lesson about belonging only to him but the other guy is SO DAMN PRETTY FCK
Even I know what’s gonna happen in the following chapters! Jaekyung rapes our little mung bean Dan and Jaekyung says bs about how dan belongs to him by contract and that he has no right to flirt with other men and then Dan cries and shouts that he wasn’t flirting and that heesung said he was gonna see him for another physical therapy session which he either won’t believe and go to the point where dan bleeds or will get shocked by what he hears, gets pissed, and stop with a trembling Dan on either the bed or the floor.
after this chapter im considering the possibility that Hanjoo might be a half-demon (an incubus, like the stepbro). incubus assume an ideal appearance for those who they desire, which is why the stepbro used to be very attractive only to hanjoo while everyone else found him strange without explanation. after this chapter, it hinted that the same happened with hanjoo: people always inexplicably see him as strange, don't want to be near him as if he has a weird aura, but sunbae (hanjoo’s object of desire) was the only one who saw him as beautiful, attractive, and cute
now suddenly that dude in the classroom saw hanjoo as beautiful, acting as if it was his first time seeing him and only recognizing hanjoo afterward, exactly like what happened when the stepbro started being beautiful to everyone. and i think the change in hanjoo’s appearance maybe is related to the evolution of his relationship with sunbae, because for the first time sunbae is showing some feelings for hanjoo and taking care of him, and it was practically right after hanjoo thought for the first time that he was relieved (because of sunbae) that the dude saw him as beautiful. maybe it has to do with reciprocity? but how would hanjoo be a half-demon???? What is happeningggg

i have many thoughts to share about this manhwa. first, i think it could have been better constructed in the beginning. its a complex plot, a semi fantasy, so it needed a good setting for readers not to feel lost, and that's exactly what happened: i got lost in many chapters, especially with the lack of indication of what was a memory or not. that whole story with the cell phone, the strange guy who owns the company and everything else was very confusing until i finally understood what was going on
on the other hand, now im LOVING it. i believe only a few authors can create a really good love triangle, and this one is an example of how to do it. i simply don't know who she's going to end up with, cause she has chemistry with both, they are both great, and i have little bursts of love with each update but my heart really wants her to be with dohwa ☹ idk he seems so lonely
P.S.: i have a strange feeling that their parents are literally them in the future (?). they look so similar, and their stories match theirs during adolescence (eunhyuks dad (that looks like minwoo) cheating on his mom (that looks like sooae) with that piano teacher (that looks like raim), and the strange man from the company (that looks like dohwa) wanting sooae to end up with, guess who, DOHWA)
I agree with you that the whole fantasy bit at the start is confusing and it seems the author isn’t really sticking to it but I still enjoyed the start more because it felt really promising but recently the chapters have been progressing really slowly and I was beginning to lose my initial interest, however this episode really changed it for me I feel like the plot is finally progressing and the way he defended her istg he’s the standard

for me the beginning was promising because the plot itself was interesting not because the author made it so, ykwim? on the contrary, i got so confused with all the information thrown without coherence that i almost gave up. some chapters started in a way that made me like WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN??? WTF IS GOING ON? and only halfway through the author would add a flashback to provide some context but yeah i got so excited about the affair and the love counter idea it was so fcking creative

Omg Ur Right actually, i think the idea was really good but the writing got confusing with the random appearance of the stalker and her getting “run over”I hope the author brings back more episodes showing the affair like in this episode and more ra im backstory because she’s so interesting
i think the black haired guy is an incubus, a demon that appears during sleep and can feed on the victim's soul through sex. as far as i know, these demons take on an attractive appearance for those they are trying to dominate, so that would explain why only the mc used to see him as handsome while the rest of the people saw him as an ordinary guy. probably the mc made some sort of pact with him on the night he got lost in the forest when he was a child…
if im not wrong, the demon in some of the earlier chapters kinda of mentioned touching the mc sexually during sleep but stopped and thought something like "it's not the right time yet” so i think that he'll try to have sex with the mc in his dreams or some other moment only when he's about to feed on his soul or something like that
