1. Sad backstory is no justification.
Only because you have a sad backstory doesn't make everything okay. Your relationship is still toxic and you still treated him like shit, even though you "liked" him.
2. How to like Yahwi?
I would probably start to like him, if he realized that his (uncontrolled) behaviour only hurts Jooin and starts acting out of empathy and not only selfishness. Especially, because Jooin doesn't seem totally hung up on him anymore, so this is the perfect chance to take a step back or make him take a step back (yes, I'm talking to you, author, I beg you, plleeeaaseee).
That would be a REAL character development for once. Am I supposed to call the reveal of a sad backstory and "oh, I liked him all along" character development, even though he kissed the Uke without his consent just one chapter before?
3. 2nd lead syndrome
There are only a few Semes I disliked as much as Yahwi. And that has a reason. Because what really frustrates me: Cain. We have a perfectly good alternative from toxic bitch Y. So why. What is the message? "Love can't be controlled, even though it's a toxic man"? We already have a LOT of stories like that in the Yaoi-scene. And this one is probably one of the worst because of the incredibly strong 2nd lead syndrome. But this also makes it so interesting, you wanna read more because you have the small hope that the Uke will choose the "right" man. In stories without (good) 2nd leads but an asshole Seme I don't feel as frustrated as now. Because the Uke has clear choice. It's not "him or nobody", it's "toxic man or cute, loyal man". And I would never choose Yahwi over Cain. But maybe my taste is just really weird...
4. Sooo much criticism, I know. ( ̄∇ ̄")
Don't take it to heart, I am also trying not to, but it's really hard with this story, so I understand if you don't like this comment.
It's just all very frustrating and we all have our (strong) opinions about it. I do have to say the author did a good job in creating a story a lot of people would read, because its has such strong discussion and commenting potential. And things that get talked/argued about a lot get famous.
Have a good day! (●'◡'●)ノ
I'll get straight to the point(s):
1.The uke is annoying. Following his crush to his workplace may still be fine but harrassing him/ annoying him is not.
(Additionally, he is still obsessing over this rude bich. I don't understand, are you that delusional? Have you any pride? Do you even hear his words? Sad backstory or not, that's not okay.) But well, let's say he is just naive and innocent.
2. Seme is worse for me. He is rude, VERY rude, even before the uke starts to annoy him. When the uke had sex wuth him, he didn't know his true personality at all, still projecting this prince image onto him (kinda his fault, but I get that you automatically think the person you like is nice). Seme just came across a little two-faced in that moment and I feel like the uke was kind of wronged? In a way? Idk. His first time was important to him and yes he wanted to give it to the seme but rather to a dream-prince-guy than a rude asshole.
3. The uke still began to fall for him - why? I don't understand. Seme wasn't nice for a single time and slutshaming him from the start. Like, bich, get some manners, at least for your workplace! You work as an AV actor and are slutshaming an employee?? That's not okay - virgin or not.
Maybe I critisized them a little too hard and I'm putting too much importance on manners and just being the tiniest bit nice - meaning not insulting someone (lol, and I'm saying bi(t)ch in nearly every paragraph) and maybe even saying thank you.
Thank you for reading! (Have I saved myself now from being a hypocrite? LMAO)
Don't take it too serious :)

Damn, this is gooooood
