Ok so from what I understand, the MC attempted suicide by jumping off a building and because of this he went into a coma. Throughout his coma the MC was being shown past memories of his dead lover/the burned monster, and by confronting the painful memories he has he is finally able to come to terms with his guilt of not stopping his dead lover from killing himself and his mother in a fire. His dead lover tells the MC he wants him to keep living and to not feel like it’s his fault, and so the MC wakes up from the coma and is reminded once again of his dead lover because of the scent of the fresh air coming in from the open window that he is still alive.
