I think you’re referring to the translators note at the end of chapter 4 of kai’s story. That was just a short fanfic one of the translators wrote. The author hasumi Hana never mentioned Kai and Luard having twins

I just have to say that mangas really make assassins look cool.
It's not.
We are seeing everything through a pair of filtered lens.
You typically don't get to choose what people you kill because you kill for money, and especially if you have a superior.
I hope you don't think you're the only assassin out there because there will be many more with higher qualifications which means you don't get to pick your tasks as you start out.
Your employers, the ones who gives you your targets will typically be larger as*holes than the ones you kill.
There is a high moral gray area for the ones you kill.
You'll typically be associating with criminals whether you like it or not.
You'll be on the wanted list if you are spot, and law enforcement can be a...anyways you'll be hurting innocent people when people are out to get you by wasting their time and resources to try and catch you.
It can be difficult to explain to people if you're not living alone.
The coming out part is not something you want to experience if you get a spouse who's not in the criminal business.

More importantly, you get blood all over yourself if you're not careful with the methods you choose to use to kill, more so if it's multiple targets, and it's very nasty because of how hard it is to wash it off when it's dried.

Finally, you feel like there's the smell of blood on your hands even after washing them multiple times. That's is, if you accidentally got some blood on them, and it's annoying.

Oh, and there's not really the people begging you to spare their lives part because you rely on stealth, efficiency, and time management unless you really want to be caught. So, I guess it helps with the guilt, but really cuts on the fun part too.
