Went and got the new volume, apparently these 2 were just a special case. The rest goes back to typical villianess stuff with a twist...favourite one is chapter 6 though. Very unique and beautiful art style and has a comedic ending. It seems that while Villianess thinks that everyone hates her, everyone was actually secretly fangirling for her lmao.

Nah, There's this weird thing going on with MC's morality and stuff. I get that she's influenced by the swarm but it just feels so wishy washy whenever she switches from being so disgusted with how terrible humans are to being disgusting herself. Like with elf village and the mentions of slavery, she acts concerned about them first then disregards them next. Like--she completely forgot about that mountain full of enslaved children and we never hear a mention of it ever again...they were just left alone there and MC went back to doing her own thing.
Srsly, the recent chapter is the most suspicious, I feel like she waited till those knights pretty much slaughtered the whole village so she could get an excuse to attack the nearby kingdom.
And pretty much her excuse to follow the whim of the swarm is pretty meh. She's basically only doing it to save her own ass. Like--she's the queen, I'd doubt they would skin her alive if she chooses not to follow conquest and pillaging
Honestly this story would've been so much better if the MC wasn't teetering back and forth with her morality because it just makes her look so half assed.
Basically this story is only good as a gore porn and that's pretty much it.
Tbh though I've read a Chinese BL about an iskeaid Zerg story as well but that one turned into a super OP Gary Stu shit real quick with an innocent uke and a wild dominating seme which often plagues Chinese BL. This manga reminded me of that..on the same way the MC is super OP with a fanatic loyal army.
Only in chapter 2 but I'm confused, that wine was clearly from the princess, it was unopened and was especially served right then and there at the table. Why would they assume the maid was the assassin? The logic here confuses me. I'm out.
I think he didn’t connect the wine being the assassination attempt. Since she jumped at him I think that’s when he thought she was trying to assassinate him, like stab him. He even asks for another glass of the wine after that, so I’m pretty sure he doesn’t think it’s the wine at that time.
Nah that still doesn't make sense because the the maid drinks the wine right after and everyone saw the side effects but they still call her an assassin. Idk why they never assumed it's the princess the moment the maid got affected by the side effects.
Okay--so, my first impression of this chapter was really really bad. I first read it in raws so I thought it was another braindead harem fest but nah. This lady is really efficient.
