Yes. Not an individual with rights, that deserves respect and her psyche protected but literally an "item" he'd like to place on his shelf. He is quite literally dehumanising her.
My mon almost got rid of me too but I will never resent her bc times were fucking tough and honestly the two months he wasn't there he will never remember bc he was there for the rest of his life bt the grandmother left and didnt even bother to come back so the situation isn't even remotely the same and I'm sorry but he's a terrible AF for comparing the two things
