Even though it’s a BL, and I’ve read the spoilers of whose end game and all that, in this particular story I don't care for the romance at all.

It feels very one-sided (at least up till now). It’s very, very obvious that Daejun had feelings for Hajin and even though he’s now inhabiting a new body he’s still technically Hajin, but at the same time he’s not.
Being in Sihyeon’s body has freed Hajin a bit and is letting him explore a side of him he couldn’t because of who he was supposed to be.
Anyway, I just don’t see Hajin/Sihyeon being interested in romance with anyone, so I’m really curious to see how the love story will develop and not seem shoehorned in there for the sake of keeping this BL.

Also, nothing against Daejun as a character, but I don’t care for his design. Of all the potential “love interests”, he’s the least handsome in my opinion. I think it’s the hair that is not doing it for me, since I’m a sucker with men in suits.

It's kind of disappointing how he stays shut all the time. He never stands up for himself and his blank face is really really frustrating at this point. I'm very patient with this kind of characters (like in Half of Me, the MC has a poker face again) but I'm this close to dropping this one.
This is just my opinion, but i think that the entire idea of him being an indifferent person has been taken too far and there are no moments from him where i felt like there's finally some justice for the poor boy who was the original owner of the body. It's just about a pretty boy who is so pretty that his bandmates are obsessed with him and most people hate him. No major development with respect to the current owner of the body. I really do hope that there are some satisfactory moments eventually.

Two years have I moldered in this hellish wasteland devoid of comments, unable to share and validate my opinions with those around me… no longer. No longer shall I hate a character in the newest chapter of a webtoon and be unable to call them a bitch to an audience of my peers. No longer shall I have only people’s comments to themselves to rely upon as a criteria for if I shall read or not. “Chapter 74” they say, “chapter 48,” marking only their progress as we all waste away in our own isolated purgatorys. Today.., yes, this glorious day marks the return of an era I had long thought lost. A splendid renaissance where once again users may converse! Share in each other’s joys and pains! Rally together and laugh at the fools who lack even a shred of media literacy! Rejoice, o siblings of mine in our reward for our devotion to the benevolent god that is Mangago! At last! We are free again.

“This manga is not for everyone. But for the people that it is for, it's pretty much everything you could want from a manga.

My advice for the people considering whether to read this manga: read the first 7 or 8 pages of Chapter 36 before you start at the beginning. Don't go further than the page where the bucket is thrown (a "story arc", if you could call it that, begins there), but do note the line on that page which reads, "This is all the more a gag manga". If you don't like this kind of manga, do yourself a favor and stay away. If, like me, you do like this kind of thing, start reading now - you will not regret it!

I've seen a few comments saying that this manga is not your typical shoujo manga. This is true...but only partially. It subverts, averts or otherwise plays with a lot of shoujo manga tropes, but certainly it's not the first manga that does that. What makes it stand out, in my opinion, is the fact that it doesn't completely parody shoujo manga - and so it pokes fun not only at the original genre but at the parodies as well. For example, often you'll find female leads who are terrible at cooking. So naturally a manga that plays with tropes would be expected to make the female lead a great cook, right? It follows that we'd expect Hinata to be either a great cook or a terrible one. As it turns out, her cooking is so completely normal that even her boyfriend comments on how mysteriously normal it is!

There is indeed a lot of fluffiness and romance and lovey-doveyness in this manga, but for the most part - and I think some people don't realize this - the romance is secondary to the comedy. Usotsuki Lily is a gag manga first and a romance manga second. This is important, so let me repeat that.

USOTSUKI LILY IS A GAG MANGA FIRST AND A ROMANCE MANGA SECOND.

Comedy is, of course, very subjective. Not everyone is going to enjoy Komura-sensei's brand of humor. The excerpt I refer to above is the kind of thing you're signing up for when you read this manga. The fourth wall starts crumbling in the first few chapters and is pretty much destroyed about ten to twenty chapters later. In the latest chapters Komura-sensei has been pulverizing the remains with a gusto that could only be matched by a crowd of East Germans armed with jackhammers. Indeed, she has become a sort of minor character in her own right. Now, when you break the fourth wall or insert yourself into your own work you have to be careful, or you'll come across as annoying (or worse). Komura-sensei manages this very well, with hilarious results. I no longer make the mistake of eating while reading this manga lest my laughter kill me.

Of course, a manga that lies entirely on fourth-wall-breaking for comedy is hardly worth reading. But that's not all this manga's got! The cast of characters is large and likable. It is true that they could be fleshed out a little bit more (especially Rui and Niko), but in a gag manga I don't think every single character needs to be developed in full detail. This is not high literature, after all - and each character does have some personality. Of the twenty-odd recurring characters, I find I dislike none of them! This is very unusual for me - countless manga have left bad tastes in my mouth because I take issue with one character or another (*cough*Special A*cough*). Hinata and En don't grate like so many romantic leads. They're referred to (endearingly, it must be admitted) as an "idiot couple" a few times in the manga, but there's plenty of couples who deserve that epithet thousands of times more than these two do. The side characters really add color to the story: you've got Kojirou who always acts like a samurai, Naota who's a bit of a sadist, Hinata's little brother Taiyou who's as close to the straight man of the manga as anyone's going to be, and more and more! Special mention should be made of the Shinohara family, whose members are refreshingly honest with themselves and with the world. Pretty much the first thing En's little brother Ten says is, "I like boys". The oldest brother An goes further: he proudly declares that he'll go for both guys and girls as long as they're cute!

But that's not to say the romance isn't there. It is, and it's really beautiful. En and Hinata really, really love each other - and they are secure in that love. Once in a while Hinata may come across as somewhat insecure, but deep down she knows that En loves her and won't waver. One thing should be mentioned, though. Pretty much all the romantic development occurs in the first two chapters. After that, while some events of a romantic nature occur, there's nothing significant. I don't think that's a bad thing, though. Why does there need to be more development? They are deeply devoted to each other, and there's absolutely no reason not to assume that they won't marry, procreate and die of old age in each other's arms. Hinata turned down En's latest love rival in one page. At this point I don't think it's possible or necessary for them to deepen their love. From the romance point of view, this manga should really be seen as the "happily ever after" part of the story. Honestly, I think that's a good thing. All that drama and heartbreak and insecurity that you see in some other manga can really get on my nerves, and it's pleasant and refreshing to read about a couple who simply loves each other.

Hinata herself is the kind of character that I wish would occur more often. She is definitely not the typical whiny, insecure, weak, shy and unstable shoujo manga heroine, yet she is also not the kind of character who's strong and self-reliant to a fault, typical of mangaka who want to get away from weak heroines. She is definitely not frail - she can hold En in her arms even though he's bigger than her - but sometimes she does need En to come in and save the day. (Thankfully, this is very rare.) She may worry when she gains weight, but she doesn't wallow in insecurity when another girl tries to steal En from her. She takes action, and boy did she leave my jaw hanging! In the end, though she may be boyish sometimes (she comments on how she loses to En in "girl power"), she is still a girl. Indeed, if you strip off the zany, comedic parts of her she comes across as more realistic than many manga characters I've seen.

En's case is similar. He's not the perfect, strong, cool, untouchable type, nor is he a weak pushover. He's not particularly popular among the girls (but he is popular among the guys, to his utter disgust), nor is he one of those rough delinquents who are tamed by their girlfriends. He's neither a prince nor a nerd. Admittedly, he is more in touch with his female side than some males (and not just because he crossdresses), but he's still a guy. He supports Hinata when she needs it, and gets support from her when he needs it. He pays for their dates and everything, but he's not rich and he doesn't do it ostentatiously. He very rarely swoops in to save the day, and when he does he ends up looking more like a pervert than a hero. What he does have in common with the typical shoujo manga male lead, though, is his insane hotness. He's really won the lottery as far as looks go - he's hot as a guy and as a girl. But I think that En, too, when you strip off those traits which are meant to be silly, is at least somewhat realistic. Certainly he's more realistic than those rich, handsome heirs to companies who are always perfect gentlemen and who have admirers lining up out the door!

Plot-wise, there's very little that I haven't already said. The manga is mostly gags, with a good amount of fluff and lovey-doveyness but no real development. Each chapter is mostly self-contained, with a smattering of two-chapter arcs. One weakness of this manga - and the reason why I didn't rate it a full 10 - is that it does have a few serious moments. They are jarring given the general extremely light (indeed, irreverent) tone of the manga, and they aren't done particularly well. (I make exception for the one occasion where a certain chapter ends darkly, but the dark ending is shown in the next chapter to be a gag.) Apart from them, whatever plot there is serves as a vehicle for the comedy, and does the job admirably. In all, I would say: don't read this manga for the plot. It is a gag manga.

I have little to say about the artwork. Tastes differ, and it's easy to click through a few pages to see if you like it. My own opinion is that all the characters look tasty enough to eat. The guys especially are hot enough to make anyone drool (except Ten, who's really cute but not hot). And Hinata-kun in Chapter 37... Dressed up like that, there's no reason why the girls wouldn't squeal!

I've said a good deal here, and I think I'd better wrap things up.

The verdict: Awesome manga.
Recommend? No to anyone looking for drama and deep plots; a huge, resounding YES to anyone who enjoys comedy, especially of the fourth-wall-breaking variety.”

i reread this for the second time but i dont like it as much as the first one. in fact, i actually don't like it now. it confuses me on how johoon guy who is watching and scheming everything doesn't get any punishment yet the twin guy who is taking advantage of how twisted johoon guy is is the only one who get shitted on. like, the twin is really wrong but johoon is treated like he doesn't have sins at the end.

also, why is siwoon even working together with johoon? they are going extra miles to edge siwon only with assumptions (though it turns out to be true) while forgetting that johoon is the one who want those guys to entertain him with r4p*ng siwon. he is also the one who record it and send it to the twin. i feel like no one really highlight how fucked up johoon is in the end just because he work together with siwoon.

HELP ME FIND THIS BL. i pulled this up from reddit and they still havent found it. and i dont think its higouhou junai...

So the uke loves the seme a lot, and it was a manga a really old one. And I can’t get it out of my head, so basically the uke has been in a unrequited love with the seme since they were little. The uke watched the seme as they grew up, while the seme notices the ukes feelings, he thought that it’ll eventually pass by. The seme is bisexual so he gets with guys and girls, but then one day when the seme was talking to his friends about the uke, he said “I hope his feelings for me will be gone already, having him with me when I’m in a relationship is so stressful, I always have to pay attention to him”, and when the uke heard he ran away. Days later the seme notices that the uke has not been talking to him, so he starts a chat with the uke when he saw him. And when they were talking, the uke confessed and also said “I loved you ever since we met, you were the light to my dark world, but now I feel like you’re the one who became the dark world that I’m living in. So I wanted to thank you for all these years you were besides me, I won’t bother you anymore, I’ll let you go” Then the uke walks away, the seme didn’t chase after the uke because he thought that was for the best. But then he deeply regrets it and tried to find the uke, he kept dreaming of the ukes smile and he would always cry afterwards. He said “where are you right now, why aren’t you with me, I miss you so much I feel like dieing, I wished I could’ve spent the time you were with me better, I wished that I could go back to that moment and chase after you”Years later the seme saw the uke coming out from a hotel with a man and decides to literally stalk him, the seme was mad pissed and he got jealous (100xmax) to the point where he decided to follow the uke to his home and kidnapped him bringing him to his place and basically keeping him there.

Looking for a BL where the seme regrets leaving the uke. They could be in a relationship and then the seme breaks up with him for a woman or some other circumstances, leaving the uke heartbroken. Or maybe the seme rejects the uke and then they meet again but the uke doesn't want anythinge to do with him?? Idk I just need some DRAMA ♡ thank you!

This story left me with so many emotions. I'm angry with the dude because he never seemed to be serious about Natsuki, like her, try to get to know her, or even really respect her in the first place so why would he date her and lead her on. Also its kinda shitty of him to fall n love with Natsuki's sister and drag it on without breaking off his relationship with Natsuki. But while he was undoubtedly a terrible boyfriend to Natsuki, he's not a bad person. He's just human.

Same with Natsuki's sister. She is a shitty sister for getting with her sister's ex when she knows she isn't over him. She could've cut their relationship off or at least putting more distance between them. But she really did seem to like her, and while she's a bad sister for putting her own romantic interests over her sister, she's not just 'Natsuki's sister.' She's her own person, being Natsuki's sister is only one part of her identity, and I feel like its natural for people to prioritize themselves. So again, she's a shitty sister but not a shitty person. She's just complex and human like we all are.

For Natsuki, her getting a boyfriend despite not being super over her ex is kinda sus but at the same time lots of people try to meet new people to get over others. And I'm sure her boyfriend may have noticed that as well. She's the most "innocent" in my opinion.

I guess since I know none of the characters are bad people, but are just imperfect like we all are, I don't know where to place the anger I feel at their actions and it makes me frustrated lol. What do you guys think about their actions?

As other commenters have said, this is not your traditional, period romance manwha/webtoon. I think of this story as a Jane Austin, Anne Brontë, Charlotte Brontë, inspired piece. Diverting from the usual novel format, and applying a literature style of storytelling, to the modern manga/manwha/webtoon medium.

I have been reading this story from the first chapter. Previously commenting on the similarites between this story and "Agnes Grey." A novel by Anne Brontë, a splendid author of only two books. Anne, often is overlooked due to Charlotte, author of Jane Eyre, and Emily Brontë, author of Wuthering Heights, who were her sisters.

If this story does not suit a person's aesthetic, no harm done. I personally enjoy many stories of the isekai/romance genre. However, I often forget their storylines and characters because they are too similar, requiring a refresher before continuing. This story, never.

Pardon me for presuming to speak on behalf of those who enjoy this story.  Hating a story without reason, the characters do not fit the standard model of the typical romance, you "just don't like" it, is not a relevant nor supported argument. Constructive analysis of character's, their development, or lack thereof in cases, plot structure/devices, stereotypes, societal influences and expectations, among other items too long to list. Those topics make for good discussion of a piece.

As someone who appreciates this story, to those who "just don't like it", who do not support their dislike with evidence sourced from the work, I am sure there are hundreds of other stories on this website you would enjoy and will bring joy to your lives.

Saw this manga first time at the bookstore and immediately I fell in love. I relate so much to the MC's emotions, situation and feeling of self-alienation that I felt like crying. It's even more touching when the story is told by the cat who loves her dearly. It doesn't comprehend her struggles, yet to it, she's the most beautiful "lover" it's ever gonna devote its life for.

Her earnest and kind attitude toward life despite hardships really grips my heart. It's a very beautiful manga that I would recommend to everyone ^^

Guys I’ve read up to ch 58 of the novel and I decided to spoil what I’ve read up till now.

High priest is eris’s half brother (Same father different mums.)

He confuses his pity with love and even justify‘s his Love saying the soul that posses eris’s body is different so it’s okay (ewww)

Red haired knight has some kind of hero complex and can’t accept the fact that not everyone has to like him.
Also got rejected by Eris(not the og one.)

Fl is slowly falling in love with Anakin but keeps pushing down her feelings because she doesn’t want to grow attached to him since she’s gonna leave soon.

Fl asks the empress to annul her engagement with the crown prince in order to do that the empress tells her to teach Helena etiquette and manners because she wants to make Helena crown princess.Fl agrees.

Fl father gets arrested for opening a gate full off monsters during a fireworks festival.

Fl gets sent to the palace for “questioning” but Alecto the prince attempts to r@pe her in order other to bind her to him so she can’t annul her engagement.Because he needs Eris’s family‘s power to protect Helena.( the whole idea came from the emperor who basically ordered him to do it.)

Fl ends up killing Alecto in self defence after he tried to sexually assault her.

That’s all I read I hope it helps.
