Unpopular opinion, but i actually liked the drama series soo much!!
I did too. Both the manhwa and the live series has their own merits to be honest. I watched the drama first before reading the manhwa. I thought it was good but after reading the manhwa, i got a little bit too invested in the characters. The manhwa hits your emotions hard than the series.

Chapter 70 is the author's treat (to us readers) letting readers peek into a time in the couple's future. It's when both of their families have accepted them wholeheartedly.
... I believe this is a New Year holiday event in the future. That's why they're being given the red envelopes and there's a "get together" celebration/family reunion.
I understand that Kan-Chan was mentally unstable when the violence happened, but it isn’t an excuse for what he did. Of course, workplace can affect mental health and people get depressed because of towic work environment, but it’s still not an excuse for these actions. Both of the parties are toxic, but hitting your partner never will be ok or acceptable.
I get that Kan-Chan later realize what he had done, but he’d need a professional to help him with his anger issues.

Btw Kan-Chan has his own sequel story and this is just my humble opinion but his story and arc is even better than this one. Probably the ONLY author ever to perform a “redemption” arc well without glorifying anything from the abuser’s side.

Yes the sequel is about the abusive ex and it’s called Hadakeru Kaibutsu. In my opinion, this sequel was done incredibly well. Really, this author is probably the only author I know who actually writes a great “redemption” arc without forgiving anything or glorifying abuse. If you’re worried that Yumi is just going to forgive Kan-chan for no reason and the abuser gets a happy ending because fuck all, then no that’s not what’s going to happen. His story is much darker and sadder and the whole path to his redemption is painful and really, he never forgives himself even at the end of the story.
