her words are too complicated for my small brain

Basically Lupert asked her what she would want hypothetically, if he grows to trust her he will give her that, (if he considers her “his”). Lupert only cherishes things that he considers are his. Like the raccoon and Tory. So she said she wanted him to protect Belois. And now she has to “prove” that she will actually live up to what she says to Lupert, (like how she will always be on his side, and that she will actually give him her life to control her as she wishes.) Then in the next scene with her brother, she’s questioning if they would defect if she committed a huge crime/if him and his father committed a huge crime. He didn’t answer the “if Belois falls by your fault would you run away?” and that’s the cliffhanger.
The knight reminds me of those MCs in harem stories where even if they’re dating they don’t push away the other women clinging to him :/
Hmm are you speaking about the so called "cheating bastards"?
From what I remember he was exactly that... Like while being Maize's fiancee he was seeing the other cute blondie that was clinging to him, and then he started secretly meeting the Princess... That's how he became a Knight
