The discoloration of his skin is literally due to the decay caused by the red curse. The way it's portrayed as discoloration is to simplify the damage for us viewers. We see him say that he looks so bad, that maybe it was way too long since the curse started that he looks that way, and that literally made him want to kill himself. Wtf??? Guys, the author can't be THAT blatantly racist in this social climate, okay?
Wow. This was absolute dogshit. They had such a good plot going on, why did they have to rush the story???? The stone slabs suddenly became useless, we didn't even delve into the crown princess's illness and inevitable death (in which case, she doesn't die bc of some medicine from the north or sum shit), the sudden event where Robel is also a diff, the whole edric being sick again???, and let's not forget, THE VILLAIN HEATH AND EMILIA(?) WORKING TOGETHER TO TAKE DOWN THE DUKE FAMILY????? ONLY FOR IT TO BE DEALT WITH IN LIKE LITERALLY 1 CHAPTER!!! Also, there was like a whole reintroduction of the potential male lead competitors (Manuel and blue haired guy), only for them to be forgotten like why have them in the first place???? AND HEATH, DID I MENTION HEATH??? WHAT THE FUCKS UP WITH HIM?? This was such a waste of good art.
I think that G really wants to help. But the way he's going at it is not right. He's treating them as just humans who are sick, when it's not as simple as that. In contrast to the other scientists who come to treat these people as now livestock. Like, he's thinking that they'll eventually get better with medicine and science, that they're gonna go back to being humans in due time. But most of these people already accept the changes in their bodies, like they're getting comfortable with how they are coming to be.
Like what the actual fuck is going on??? She has this background of being an intellectual, but she's dumb as shit!!! She constantly talks about running away and starting her own apothecary, but keeps on butting her damn nose in other ppl's business!!!! And like no one's stopping her from running away like wtf? (She's too forgiving on the step sis, why? Idfk) There were so many parts to the story where there would be NO ONE looking for her if she had run away. It was pretty annoying on how they try so hard to give a very "smart" image to the MC to the point where it's just trash.
What amplified my annoyance to this is the way they express the supposed emotions on certain scenes. Like wdym the MC straight up cries? I get being sympathetic and stuff, but she's just standing there tearing up in front of a royal.
Spoiler*****
And on chapter 29???? Wtf was that reaction???????? It's like we're given a damsel in distress girlie with little to no application of her said intelligence.
Glad I'm taking this trash out to the dumpster, honestly.

It's alright, but the whole pushing this into a romance problem is weird. The way she caught feelings is soooo weird man. They should've put more backstory on her feelings if they wanted to have her choose on 2 male leads. And the way of storytelling is too 3rd POV, that I really can't get behind any of it. Sorry, but this is just in my opinion. Happy reading everyone!
