These misunderstandings are killing me! Why can't it be like A Way to Protect the Lovable You and have these misunderstandings cleard up within a few chapters-well, not all of them were cleared up since the fl still thinks they hate her...But you get my point right; it drives me crazy when these types of things are dragged out!
It's completely understandable for her to be so frightened and confused in a situation like that. It's nice to see characters that become badass and give the people who did them wrong their just desserts, but this is more on a realistic level. You have to remember that-for all her life until now-she's been treated less than human with no rights or freedoms, and has zero self esteem and difficulty trusting others; that's probably why/part of the reason why she was wondering if she could handle/control such a powerful being.
And everyone is not built the same; people can interpret/respond to situations or hardships differently than other people can because not everyone is the same or has the same personality. She went from something that was viewed as lowly, to someone with great power- emphasis on something and someone!
And if you re-read the previous chapters, you'll see that she actually thinks the way she is treated is her fault and something she deserves-she thinks it's NATURAL, when it's something far from it!
A physical wound-and most other things-take time to heal, so a severe trauma like Ludis' will DEFINITELY take some time before she can function within the range that is deemed normal.
And like I said, it all comes down to the personality of the person too! So you can't just expect Ludis to use Ravian(?) to go "ape shit" on everyone and be like, "Don't you mfs fuckin' bother me again, or I'ma pump som lead into yo asses! (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸" She's not realizing the power and position she has right now because of all the physical, mental, and emotional abuse she's been through, undeniably, making it a trauma. So give her a chance to actually adjust and heal before badmouthing her character and saying things like, "I think I'm going to drop this because of how stupid the fl is acting."
I'm not sure if I missed it or if it hasn't been revealed yet, but why exactly does the Saintess hate Leticia? Based on what I saw in the chapter with the prophecies, it doesn't seem like she knows that Leticia is the real Saintess, so why does she treat her so badly?
The shady guy isnt the one who made her the temporary saint, he's the one going against the real goddess, making everyone continue to view her as a saint even after leticia arrived and took her power.
She isnt supposed to still be a saintess, right now, she's using nefarious ways to remain in power; originally she saw a prophecy, that's why everyone thought she was the saintess (the temp part wasnt mentioned/she didnt tell people it was temp, I assume)
She had to have known she was initially supposed to be temporary since she made a deal with that shady guy to extend her position as a saintess. But according to the shady dude, she didn't understand that she had to act a certain way to keep her role and keep the goddess happy. Plus the bitch is crazy and delusional.
She is the worse, but if you think about it, isn't this whole situation partly the goddess's fault? Like that shady guy said, it is quite cruel to give a young person an important/prestigious position, then turn around and say, "Oh by the way, you're just the temp./fake until the real one comes!"
I'm not blaming the goddess for Josephine's current attitude and personality, but this specific situation-where Leticia, the Principality(?), and others who aren't apart of the Holy Empire suffer extensively and unjustly-might have not happened if the goddess sent out the oracle/prophecy when or after Leticia is born.
Josephine may or may not have been such a great person, but after receiving that oracle about being a temp, I'm pretty sure her personality and attitude would have definitely changed, and she'd be singing a different tune!
I'm pretty sure that shady guy would have found another way to go against the goddess, or whatever his plan is, but at least Leticia and the others would not have suffered so, and might be able to unite and stop him.
Tbh, I don't see much point in a temporary Saintess; I guess it's a position that-for whatever reason-can't be left vacant and/or unattended to, but I still feel like this whole situation is kind of the goddess's fault.

Hmmm...I was a little confused on this chapter and what the butler/servant(?) was talking about when mentioning that school. I've understood that they did experiments and are considered lunatics, but was the experiments done on humans, monsters, or both? And also, is he considering the MC as the genius and himself as one of the lunatics? If you have the answer, please let me know!
The chapter just came out
Lmao
