Only thing I'm gonna to complain about is why are they giving a CHILD responsibility of taking care of a big ass family like if you want to give it to her make sure that she grows up and also takes lessons and everything. Just a hunch, but I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that the other Duke tried to adopt her. If she's head of the house, she's untouchable. Plus, they likely used her being a dragon as leverage to justify making her head of household. She has no responsibilities for it, it's just a title to protect her. Makes her less accessible for those up to no good.
Maybe you should reread it again so you'll know why did she agree to be head of the family. And about her growing issue i think it's natural to all dragon to be like at since she's still young. You know all the dragons life take a thousand years before they die(except if they got killed)
