did you read all of this until this chapter to realise that Ilay is trash ?? Are you pretending to be blind or what, it is stated multiple times in the story that Ilay is a psychopath, who literally kills everyone and you expect him to be a perfect green flag because he loves someone for the first time in his life ? And himself says it CLEARLY that he doesn’t know what he feels, WE as the reader interpret that as love because obviously this story is supposed to be romance between Ilay and Tay but HIM as a character doesn’t understand why he feels that way about Tay and why he wouldn’t kill him like he did to everyone else.

No I knew that from beginning and I'm not blind. It's just in the beginning I was just trying to understand characters and I don't expect him to be a green flag cuz I started reading this bc I knew he was a red flag. I was reading alot of fluff stories so I wanted to read something more aggressive. I don't expect of Ilay anything and I knew he never loved anyone but that doesn't excuse his actions even more now that he realized that he likes Tay

But don't get me wrong I don't hate Ilay. His an interesting character and even though I personally wouldn't smash him ,he is still really attractive in his own way

Well you know that he’s not going to become better just because he loves someone right ? And of course nothing excuses his actions ?? I mean he’s literally a criminal, a feared murderer and even a rapist like it’s only normal if we don’t excuse his actions- but you can’t expect him to be better just because he loves someone ?? He doesn’t even know that he loves Tay, he doesn’t understand why he feels that and tries to understand it by keeping Tay alive. And if someone can change just from loving someone I think there will be no bad person in the world lmao

I do think people can change by loving someone but just like you said he won't change automatically or maybe at all. It depends on the person if they want to change or not

It’s kinda innocent to think that someone like Ilay can change so drastically for loving someone. And like I said he still doesn’t know himself that what he feels is "love". Changing isn’t that simple when his whole life he was feared by many for being ruthless and crazy for blood, he also never really loved someone, it’s a new feeling to him.

I get what ypu are saying but I don't expect a drastic change amd I know it naive to believe that there is going to be a change tbh I would prefer if he doesn't change cuz If it not explained very good, people are going to say that his change was all of the sudden and that happened in a few of the bl manhwas I read

I think I saw some people telling spoilers saying that Ilay will become a "green flag" but I’m not too sure. And yeah I don’t really like it when BL authors decides to change a red flag ml to suddenly a green flag, it just shows that they don’t have much experience in writing stories. And that they did this change just for the sake of "unproblematic romance" or something like that, like usually if the ml rapes the mc they will never talk about it later like it never happened ? Or even make it seem like that the mc enjoyed being raped and that’s honestly disgusting.

I agree 100% and I dislike that fans also forget about it all of the sudden. They still done horrible things to the bottom and they are acting like it never happend. Like bottom in this stories are written strong and that they would never forget the person that hurt them or thier loved ones only to "fall in love" and forgive them cuz all of the sudden top feels bad and his a changed man when he doesn't even apologize or even try to be better. He/They just are and that annoys me so yea I hope Ilay stays the red flag or atleast has a character development that is not all of the sudden but he actually proves himself

But don't get me wrong, I don't think a man like that can be a green flag. You can see that ever since childhood he was already screaming red. He's an a classic rich boy that never got into real trouble and he done whatever he wanted bc he was strong and had a good background and his brother dooted on him. So the best he can be is a yellow or even orange flag(if it exists)

yeah I think all he can do is try to become a better person for Tay or just anyone surrounding him. I said "green flag" because I quoted what other people said in the comments- if he ever really becomes a "green flag" then that just means that the author did not do a good job to the possible character development of Ilay. Just like you said, there’s no way he would ever be a green flag because of all the actions he did in the past and possibly still doing, but I truly hope that he will acknowledge his wrongdoings and become at least a decent person. Although Ilay seems to be a psychopath or a sociopath cuz my dude doesn’t seem to feel empathy or any emotions lmao ( except in the recent chaps ). It’s going to be interesting to see how he will change.

i personally didn't like bora and that guy 2gether, I felt like bora gave off a vibe of being single and free, jay and bora seemef rushed and badly executed.
