Abuser tactic 101 is tending to the wounds they inflicted on their victims. It's a perfect way to control the victim. Show them although I can hurt you, I am the only one who can make it right. These authors like showing abusers taking care of the wounds they inflicted on their victims as some good hearted character when in actual sense, it is a predictable habit of abusers. Also abusers can feel sorry after the abuse.
Ellin is so sweet and nice. I love that she got a second chance to live. But, the body is Solwah's. No amount of justification will change the fact that Ellin occupied a body that wasn't hers due to her strong will to live. If the original owner asks for their property back, one which you never came into agreement to be given to begin with, you give it back. Reminds me of European Museums refusing to return artifacts from former colonial states.
Solwah chose suicide after realizing the man she loved the most betrayed her for the sake of the people. Her suicide is not to be blamed. She should have died. But to continue living watching someone take over your body, yeah, that shit is scary. But also it will give her every right to want a second chance at life. It's her body, she should have it back. Whether she turns out villain or not.
No, I dont believe she has any right to ask for her body back. She saw her circumstances and decided the best course was to die. She chose to end her life, therefore she has no hold over her body anymore. The best course for her would be to cease to exist. You dont simply get to ask to live again now that everythings right, she should stand by her choices.
She was to die. But she didn't. She ended her life because she wanted to die. Not continue living watching someone take over body and watching them live life through her body. It is her body. Technically, Ellin is a parasite. Ellin had her own body. Which is dead. This is Solwah's. Her choices on her body should be respected. Remember Solwah wanted to die. Not be relegated to the back as some other foreign host took over her body. So instead of dying, she gets to watch someone else live life with her body.
yes therefore the only logical solution here should be for solwha to cease existence and let ellin live in her body, since ellin never wanted to die but solwha did.
Nah, circumstances have changed. Ellin does not have more right to Solwah's body than Solwah does. Ellin should also have died. She didn't. Went on to live a new life in someone's body. Why can't the same be extended to Solwah? Both ladies should have died. Suicide or accident, death was also at Ellin's door. Ellin does not have a more rights to Solwah's body. If she did, Solwah's soul would have completely disappeared. Since it is still alive, Solwah should be allowed to tie up things. Jin, Azurites etc.
I cant condone solwahs decision for suicide. Ellin desperately wanted to live and still does. Why should solwah be allowed to come back when things are working out. She decided to end it all, therefore end it should no? Also I believe solwahs soul had gone but the shaman woke it and tied it back, the whole three knocks to wake the soul thingy
Can’t blame her for suicide when she was going to be married off to the king who killed her people by the man she loved. Ellie borrowed someone’s body. There is no issue of right if it’s not her body. Her will to live distorted everything. To add on top, she is from the future. Does not belong to the current timeline. It just boils down to its Solwahs body, she should have it back. The circumstances of her leaving are notwithstanding, it’s her body, period.
Fine! She can ask for her body back but what she wants is the happy life Ellin has built! And that's what makes this sad...
exactly, ellin didn't ask for solwhas body. She was thrust into the very conditions that solwha denied and she made something out of them. It no longer is solwahs life, its the life ellin built. But now solwah just wants to reap the benefits which is just wrong. She lost the privileges to her body the moment she decided to toss it aside
Think of it this way, a rich spoilt boy decides to throw away a broken toy in the trash. An orphan comes and picks it up and fixes it, seeing how the toy is all pretty again the rich boy now wants it back claiming it was originally his. But it isnt, it stopped being his the moment he threw it away
Lmao! It is not a toy! It is her body. I really don’t like your tone when it comes to suicide. It is not a walk in the park. It is a very emotionally distressing situation. Everyone has complete agency over their body. Isekai should not make you lose sight of that.
What benefits is Solhwa reaping by returning to life? Remember if Ellin didn’t occupy that body, Solwah would have died. They both were supposed to die. Ellie occupied the body leaving both of them alive. One in the backseat. This is not some work Ellie did. It really does not matter how deep one enjoys a story, never blame or shame people for suicide. Especially when she was going to be married off to someone who invaded their land and killed her people displacing them. Solwah and Ellins case is a case of a host taking over a body without the permission of the owner. Without willingly or not, the occupation prevents the owner from dying, keeping them alive to watch their own body continue living through someone else. Not rich kid throwing a toy. That would have been the case if Solwahs soul left. It didn’t. Because Ellins kept the body that was to die alive. Forcing Solwah to keep living but in the sidelines. It is Ellins responsibility to make sure Solwah finds peace. Let Solwah tie up her unfinished business. After, Ellin can return. But Solwah also needs to experience life Cz 1. It is her damn body 2. Ellin kept her soul from passing to the afterlife by occupying her body.
Ironical isn’t it? Ellin did the same thing! Lmao. She took over the life had even Solwah’s mother and never said a word. Even Jin. Why is it a problem that Solwah is doing the very same thing Ellin did? Solwah having more claim because it is literally her life. Her timeline, her people, her tribe.
I agree on the mother part but everything else; the woman ellin is now, the happiness she has achieved, her life with Kiha and all that do not belong to Solhwa! Solhwa can get a new life in another body like ellin did. None of this belongs to solhwa since the moment she decided to take her life because of jin, not thinking of her mother. What would have happened to her body if ellin didn't take it? Destroyed already? I know it is painful for solhwa now but that happens to everyone; knowing you didn't live your life to the fullest and wanting to have another chance
And the other thing is that i think this is not the real solhwa...this one is acting like shit while the solhwa described in the story was so soft and all! Maybe that witch bitch's doing!!
My view over suicide isn't important here. You don't seem to get that solwha is dead and was dead until the shaman woke her soul back up. She saw her circumstances and based her decision over it. She needs to take responsibility for HER choices. She is now dead and should stay dead regardless of Ellin living in her body or not. And even if solwha does come back she wont be able to stay long because of what the shaman lady said. And she is reaping the benefits no? The kingdom is all well, the king is gone, the azurites are now better and she knows Jin loves her. The only thing she should be able to have is closure, both of them should. There are no wrong options here. Regardless we'll see how the author plays it out. Also the toy one was an analogy to put the same situation into perspective but in different terms
this, agree with you 100%
My argument is it’s the same thing that happened to Ellins as well. Ellin also lived a non fulfilling life and was able to experience live and everything due to Solwahs body, life and timeline. The least can do is to allow Solwah to tie up her loose ends. Ellin didn’t experience the war. She didn’t see her people murdered. The azurite anger is very justified. Solwah says she was watching Ellie live her life. Unlike other Isekai, it looks like the soul was still there. It didn’t leave. So basically, no matter how much Ellin has been the protagonist, she is still in a second life she shouldn’t have had. We all die when we die. She was ill and died. So my question is, why does she get more rights to a body and timeline that isn’t hers to begin with? Also, Solwah was literally betrayed. Off to be sold like sheep. I really understand her choosing to die. But if her choice led to another host taking over her body and then continue living, that upset the balance of things. Since her soul didn’t cross over, let her experience life again. Attempt whatever revenge she wants, the she can rest I. Peace. She would have passed on but that was blocked by Ellin. That in effect is the least owed to her considering Ellin was able to experience a second chance in life all thanks to Solwah.
She didn’t cross over though. She Chise death but her death didn’t happen because Ellin took over the body. Solwah says she has been seeing Ellin living. So it seems the soul didn’t leave but continued existing alongside Ellins. It became a case of two souls in one body, one active other not. What I am saying is that Ellins strong will to live stopped Solwahs complete death. When people say she chose death, she didn’t die, Cz Ellin time traveled. I would be against it if Solwah who had chosen to die decided to ressurect and wanted to use someone else’s body to do so. If she had moved to the future, Ellins time, found Ellin living her life in her time, in her body and decided that her second chance in life was to happen, that would be wrong. She would be interfering in Ellins life. But this is Solwahs time, life and body. She is not the one that crossed over, she has a lot of right to request a second chance in life. It is an inconvenience to Ellin, but Ellins time also ended with her death. This is bonus as well for her.
she chose to kill herself - and died. i don't get your logic gymnastics attempts in trying to deny that cold-hard fact presented by the author. you're regarding your theories as canon and writing long essays to weave it into what actually happened, and many of us are simply not buying it lol. the facts are: solhwa killed herself, her body was by definition abandoned, whatever force/deity of this universe transmigrated ellin into an empty body. then, though solhwa was absolutely dead, she was invoked by black magic. had it not been bc of the shaman she would have never found out about ellin being in her old dead body. she has no right to anything given that she chose to kill herself. she simply needs to let go of any attachments to her tragic life that she ended so she can either rest in peace, and/or reincarnate.
Oh, wow, logic gymnastics. I am not really interested in anyone buying anything, to tell you the truth. My argument has stemmed from the fact that this is Solwah's body. Neither Am I saying she needs to occupy the body permanently, all I am seeing the author do, is have Solwah either throw in some chaos or tie up loose ends. Its simply the right to use her body to exert whatever revenge or plans she has. Given that we are into second chances and all. Anyway, she killed herself. That I have not denied. You also can't deny that it is her body. Am I pulling the fact that she said she saw Ellin living life through her body out of thin air? Does the ownership of the body not matter at all?
I really will be ending my arguments here. All these discussions are happening under my comment. I didn't move on to accost anyone under their own thought process. Neither am I forcing a distant illogical rationality. Isekai or not, suicide does not negate the fact that complete agency of human body is to the owner. You wouldn't begin harvesting organs without prior approval of the owner. It does not get revoked because someone chose to kill themselves. Bodies do not became free game after suicide.
This has been my point right from the very beginning.
Do forgive the long essays.
Lmao, reading this now and realized I was being faulted for essay under my own comment. Like go make your own, mscheeeew!
