I used to have that kind of friend. The one that overshadows you and gets along with everyone but somehow their friends are out of your league. It can strike a blow to your self esteem. The best way is make friends of your own. And not in a way to prove anything. Just finding people who are like you and you click. Over time, you find your own place and don't feel the need to be liked by people who make you feel less.

Just started reading this and I am at the slave auction scene. It's turning my stomach. Everything about it. Hope it gets better and doesn't turn into 'oh, I am a slave but at least I have a good master' bullshit.

That younger brother is a spoiled evil idiot. TO ruin a young girls life like that? And I haven't forgiven the older brother for still shouting at her even though he knew she was given rotten food. Talmbout causing commotion. I hope she doesn't give in to their charms any time soon. They need to suffer.
Aaaaaarh I love this author! As an Isekai lover, the internalized misogyny hits you every time the authors vilify all women except the FL. This author is making heroes out of their female characters. Thank you.
