I’m reading the early comments and laughing so hard at the “pls don’t be toxic ML” ones bc fair but also KISHIAR LA ORR IS WHOLE GREEN FOREST. I don’t know who your fav is but he isn’t greener flag then him (in their 2nd game) and i will stand by that

I read pretty much all of the novel and Kishiar is the one of the best ML I have ever read! Like his chrachter details are so deep, he is loving, caring, patient, respectful, clever, cunning (in right ways),handsome, thoughtful... every move he does have a rationale.... he was one of the few chrachters that made me say "wow" . And I read more than 2000+ manga in my 11+ year manga reading

Question!!! So I’m on chapter 200 rn, and I’m curious about Kishiar. So throughout the story Kishiar is very flirtatious and it’s apart of his character. However, it’s later revealed(when Yuder and Kishiar went out to eat out and saw the slash on a wall created by the first emperor) that he disappears at night not to meet lovers but because he likes to watch the common folk talk and enjoy a more simpler experience. This made me question if Kishiar truely was a playboy or if it was just an act to allow himself to make excuses for his absences or actions. My question is whether Kishiar slep with other women and really was just a playboy or if he just kept it as an act but never truely doing as the rumors state? Maybe both, or even neither? Pls, novelreader ahead of him enlighten me with your facts or opinions. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ p.s.-amma also ask other novel reader this too

Hey so I’m on 600th or so chapter and spoiler alert: he’s not a playboy and up till now, those ahead of me also said that not once was a past lover mentioned. He spread those rumors so people look down on him and also to make excuses when people working for him visit him. When he goes out at night it’s either to meet people secretly (for political reasons usually) or to see how commoners are living, as you’ve said. It’s an act

Ngl im really loving this one, it doesn’t seem like it will be as long as horror revenge stories I typically end up reading but short, brutal and interesting hits the spot nevertheless. Also loving that victim isn’t the one getting revenge this time, and that he continues to endure because that’s powerful in his own way

Tang Bo and CheongMyung’s relationship was really beautiful part of the novel, exciting to see it happen in manwha!!
Also the part about Baek Cheon being ready to step inside the fight if he needs to knowing it will result in his death but willing to do it to try and rescue CM was very touching

Ofc, SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO WAIT FOR THE MANWHA:

Tang Bo was his one and only friend, if I remember correctly he died in CheongMyungs arms and asked him to take care of his family after his death because he hoped CM will survive but sadly he didn’t. CM carried the guilt of not granting him his last wish, which is why he will be quite lenient to mistakes the Tang clan did and will do in this arc. They all remind him of his friends legacy, one person that he was ever shown to care about outside his own sect. Also Tang Bo wasn’t equal to CM in strenght but he was formidable master regardless and most of the world feared them so they know how it is to be feared and hated by people around them, but Tang Bo only saw best in CM and CM quite misses him, and often thinks about him while drinking during this arc. Also some say that green ribbon in his hair symbolises his friendship with Tang Bo because his Color is green, but i don’t remember that being mentioned in novel so I cannot confirm it.

Cheong Myung's green hair tie being related to Tang bo (past and present) was actually confirmed by the author Biga in a QnA celebrating Cheong Myeong's birthday!
In the past Cheong Myeong would get in a fight -> he would lose his hairtie and his hair would get scattered -> he needs one but doesn't have any spare -> tang bo gets annoyed and would shove a handful of the tang clan's hairties into his sleeve -> cheong myeong would lose them all again -> rinse and repeat.
Now in the present, Cheong Myeong deliberately looks for a green hairtie to tie up his hair. So it can be seen as him honoring in tang bo and their friendship
Dominick being sidelined because he’s not romantic interest even tho he was always there for Mel and is like a brother to her is an ick to me, author keeps sending him to random missions just so ML can get closer to MC and I don’t hate ML but it’s still frustrating… platonic relationships aren’t less important than romantic.
Also, ML is incredibly handsome but his personality wasn’t really shown… feels more like a pretty face. he kinda just tags along and helps MC without us seeing much of his own life, heck I don’t even know a thing about his family in these 80 chapters beside that he practically raised Henry…
The plot is way too stretched out as well imo, all these inventions were cool parts but it’s like author can’t decide if this is romance or revenge story because it’s not blended in with each other and instead feels like odd mix. Would give it 7/10 but last 30 or so chapters I was looking forward to the end
