I'm not the biggest fan of this manga. I'm on 40 chapter and the pace of the storyline is not very well written.
The story is kinda boring and stereotypical, the action is really lacking and the plot is repetitive. I dont like MC either cause he is too OP and dosent even show any struggle in 40+ chapters. That's my opinion only tho
(((EDIT: I dont like him being OP since he dosen't show struggle in any way and MC "overcoming his weakness" is how a plot should be written for it to be captivating and written well. Not all, but this manga is supposed to be action but the plot is boring to me)))
Still would give this 6/10☆
We should all learn to differentiate stories that are meant to be taken seriously and stories that are meant for light reading. This is not some "The mc is too OP, I don't like it" kind of situation. Stories like SAO get criticized because kirito was too OP, and yes, you can dislike it because of the OP ness. However stories like these, Readers, the one you get strong by reading, Maple the one where you get OP with your defensw, Level up by eating, the one where you get strong by eating are stories that you shouldn't take seriously These are meant for humor, them getting strong because of those things are humorous. If you actually don't like Mc who are OP and not.just going with the trend to hate every mc who is OP then I suggest you don't read mangas like these, because, as I stated again, these aren't meant to be taken seriously with the whole weak mc going through hardship to be strong thing.
Anyway, for the pacing there were some problems so I agree. It being boring is a given, because it's basically about a MC who likes to read and only read. It being stereotypical is so wrong, you rarely see a MC who reads to get powerful compared to other MC who spend a butload of cash in an online game to get strong or a MC going back to the present and relive the game with all his knowledge, or a MC encountering lucky encounters and then became strong. This is a MC who do his favorite hobby in an online game, the only thing stereotypical about this is him being OP, but that's the only reason why this and other mangas that are meant for light read to become popular. Because of its humoric way of portraying a OP mc through other means. The plot is repetitive? Honey he's only reading- hence the title readers - hence the description "about a boy doing his favorite hobby" - hence the plot a boy who loves reading decided to read in an online game and becomes powerful. Plus it's a virtual game, you fight mobs, do quest, defeat bosses, participate in a guild and then repeat. What do you want
Again, differentiate mangas that are meant to be taken seriously and.mangas that are meant for light read. Maybe next time not be a snowflake and delete :)) all my statements were on point and would answer all your dissatisfaction. You can delete this again, but honey you ain't proving anyone anything
Oh sorry it wasn't deleted. For some reason it wasn't shown. Okay anyway again, learn to differentiate. He really and will never be challenged because this shouldn't be taken seriously. It's basically a troll RPG manga game. Solo leveling, readers omniscient POV are mangas where you can take things seriously. They have plot, depth, etc because they were made like that. Mangas like these arent made for the MC to be hard up. The poor action scenes are because the Mc is too OP, HOWEVER there are some mangas that are like these such as the one with maple who has epic action scenes, but this manga does not have what you want. That's why differentiating is important when it comes to reading. I'm not butthurt that you rated this a 6 because that's your opinion. I just want you to understand what must and must not be taken seriously.

I love all characters in this manga, I just hope for no romance since I want fluff only
The romance that is present is handled lightly and sweetly, which fits really well, considering our protagonist is a (now) 15-yr. old.
And I love that about this manga!
