Asano is saying that he didn’t really like sex with his former partners, and that he would finish because it felt good, but that he didn’t really feel anything else, right? So that leads me to think, maybe he’s demisexual? Because he took a lot of time to get to know Kakei, he had a deeper connection with him than when he had girlfriends. And then now that he knows Kakei and has that connection he needed, he feels more inclined to his own (and his partner’s) sexual wants and needs.
All of this is speculation, but one of my friends recently came out as ace and we had this huge conversation about what it means to be ace or demi, and all that, so while re-reading this I was thinking about that the whole time. Sorry for the rambling.

i can see what you mean but in my opinion, i would say no. then again it could be yes. there wasn’t enough about his personal life to help me decide. he could even be asexual since he had intercourse with his partner to get a deeper sense of connection. but i don’t know enough about the different sexualities to give a proper answer. sexuality has such a broad spectrum it’s hard to say plus everyone experience sexuality different. i myself don’t know my proper labels but i do feel most comfortable saying i’m pansexual and demisexual. i’m sorry i couldn't help :(
I understood nothing
