Tipping is almost strictly American though. Or at least provided to more services in America.
Other countries actually give waiters/waitresses decent pay.
Actually in Japan it's not common practice to tip service staff in the first place. Most often they will even reject your tips. So never whip out a tip at a restaurant, hotel or anything in Japan.
Yeah, that's why that part confused me. Maybe it is different at high class Western-style places? Idk.
I don't know I'm fine getting tipped for anything. Did I get your order right at McDonald's? I will take that 5 dollar tip in your hand good sir. Did I throw my trash in the right bin? A dollar for my thoughts? Don't mind if I do.
I think, as someone mentioned before, this is a more common practice in US because US doesn't have GST. But Japan does have GST, so service charge should already be included in the bill
If you did that in Japan you'd probably get fired. Besides in Japan, service staff are paid fairly, because of service charges that are already included in the bill. Whenever my friends visited me in Japan, I warned them not to tip the hotel staff because for sure the staff are getting a more than decent pay. Plus, as I said, they have rules against it.
When I hear about tipping I don't get it sometimes. Paying a person extra for... doing what their job entails? For doing exactly what they were hired to? People demanding more and more by doing less and less. But I guess it's strongly a western thing. I'd feel embarassed getting a tip, but I suppose that's because I work surrounded by Japan's service culture.
I'm not saying I love our tipping industry. In fact I believe it sould be fixed. Sometimes I come home with only 20 bucks and a good night 200. I'm just saying I'm poor and if someone on the street said "hey here's a 20" no reason and no cause I'ma happy to accept. And I'm not saying everyone should think like me either. It's great you have so much pride for your work and I do too. But yes I understand that other countries don't do this in fact I know a lot about it. It started in the great desperation and since owners couldn't pay there workers they told them "if you want money except tips cause I ain't pay'in you" and since our tipping industry hasn't been changed.
Momo's mom was a bitch. But I can understand bitch moms, having one myself, so understanding why he forgave a bitch mom is there too. Moms come in all shapes and sizes and so do the kids who come with those moms. And it's hard to forgive and forget what they do and some just don't. I loved this story it had a lot of great stuff. Romance, a birth of friendship, a jorney of re-discovery, story with both lighthearted feeling and setted ones, and with a little bonus of seeing Momo's sexy side.
To me the story is very predictable. Not only that but is a lier form the start. I think it would have been fine if the intro said and ex-villain meets a superhero. Would have the same simple inpact as the other one liner. You find out in the (i believe) first chapter you fine out she has powers. And soon after that she is one of the most powerful. That's as far as "normal" as you can get. Not only that but her and skyboy costumes look like there wearing pajamas. Overall not the best webtoon can do better and I see potential for better.
personally I liked the beginning... but it keeps elongating to the point I feel like I'm on a treadmill at full speed and still not go anywhere, only difference is the treadmill is on purpose
love this manga but personally when someone tells you to go after a person your in love with, and that person is happily in love with another. Don't just don't. Someone told me that once and I ruined a happy relationship and my bonds with a lot of people. Sometimes its best to leave laying dogs lay. （￣へ￣）
