How sweet to give Mr. Bland a night like that to remember always. Bittersweet, really, but I liked that he didn't try to convince the guy to change his mind or pretend it was going to be anything other than a one-night stand. People make life choices based on a lot of things other than love, after all.
Kanda (the ex-tutor) and Akira are both lonely and feel like outsiders because of their orientation so they comfort each other physically. They feel safe with each other and can satisfy the urge to touch and be touched without doing something scary, like buying prostitutes or meeting strangers in bars/online. Kanda says he'll walk away when Akira doesn't need him anymore. Akira is clearly free to find an actual lover.
Akira isn't doing anything wrong by kissing Kanata.
