of ABO to be an excuse for alphas to be conceited assholes and omegas to be baby factories? Try to dress it up as nicely as you can, that's still the basis of the trope. This story is just taking the idea to the extreme. "Forced to fall in love because your bodies smell tasty to each other" isn't exactly romantic.
A lot of stories try to make it pretty by having the alpha not be such a major asshole and the omega gets to be feisty but in the end, neither one has any real choice in the matter once their hormones kick in. Or they "fall in love" almost instantly (again because of the hormones or a convenient "soul mate" reasoning).
ABO is meant to be much more bestial than romantic, or why bother with the ABO dynamics at all? I don't read ABO stories very often but when I do, I expect certain things.
Sometimes I wonder why the author bothered with it if the alpha isn't going to be an "alpha" - just use another excuse for mpreg if that's what they want to write about. Then you don't have to bother with the ABO dynamics that have to be subverted to make the story more socially acceptable.

If you understood more about humanity, and were able to appreciate individuals’ mental make up, you wouldn’t be so trapped in your shallow mindset and enjoy the story more
I'm liking the story. I was speaking to all the people in the comments complaining about the seme being an asshole. It's an ABO - so I think the seme being an alphahole is kind of par for the course. This story is an interesting take on the ABO dynamic - with all the omegas gone and the seme's family so obsessed with the idea of the "superior" alpha that can only come from an omega/alpha pairing, forcing them both into a situation neither one wants. But everyone's trashing the seme for being a major ass about the whole thing and I think that's kind of unfair - especially since we haven't gotten any real backstory on him and why he "hates" omegas.
If you want a sweet and fluffy alpha, all supportive and bucking the social system that's been telling his kind for generations that they are the top of the food chain...obviously this story isn't going to work for you. I think *expecting* the alpha to be all gentle and nice to the omega from the get-go is silly. ABO is pretty much designed to have a jerk alpha who is *eventually* softened as the two fall in love. yet the comment section is full of people calling for his blood and chop off his body parts and etc.,

You know something’s successful because of the unconscious lashing out they do when a subject makes them uncomfortable. You’ll see this occur a lot with satire. A majority of people do not understand and so do not know how to handle the feelings it engenders, and will respond with great negativity

if people complaining about "consent" here have been in an actual, long-term relationship. Because you don't ask for permission every time with a long-term partner - you understand each other's signals. And it's perfectly fine to try and change your partner's mind if they aren't "in the mood." Senpai is very focused and ignores his body, so he doesn't think about sex that much. But not thinking about it doesn't mean he doesn't want it when he's reminded.
Now, KB is highly exaggerated and bonkers - if you haven't figured that out, then I can't help you. Go watch some Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner cartoons because that's about the level of realism when it comes to Senpai punching Morinaga. But Senpai and Morinaga have worked out each other's signals and meanings by this point. When Senpai really doesn't want it, he lets Morinaga know and Morinaga stops. Morinaga didn't even try in the last chapter, leaving Senpai to work on his thesis.
Senpai complains and says stuff like "stop" and "no" because he's embarrassed by his body's reactions and can't get himself to say out loud what he wants. Morinaga gets that and Senpai has even told him in the past that when he really means "no" he will make it clear. Is it weird and super-tsundere? Yes, of course - for us. For them, it isn't. Hell, Senpai just got on top of Morinaga and rode him in the last volume - saying, "I can't," and, "stop," and everything else through the whole thing. There was no force being used on him. Morinaga persuading and coaxing and begging and guiding is not force. We've seen many times that Senpai can and will refuse when he chooses to.
Hell, Senpai was having all sorts of sex dreams just from Morinaga's scent and thinking of him while masturbating and moaned when he heard Morinaga's voice on the phone. He ran to Hamamatsu when he worried about Morinaga. He's trying to put Morinaga off right now because he thinks Morinaga should rest on his day off.
You don't like their relationship? That's perfectly fine. Stop reading. You should have stopped many volumes ago. This manga is about two grown-ass men with personality issues who have chosen to be together. They chose - they keep choosing - to stay together. Would this work between two real people? No.
Here's the real question - does Senpai consider what they do together "rape"? It's clear he does not think of it that way. You can't force him to feel victimized and traumatized. In the end, it's the person's interpretation of events that matters, not yours. You shouldn't force your morals or beliefs or standards onto other people - fictional or otherwise. At the most, you offer to listen or help if someone (adult) asks for it. Senpai and Morinaga don't need your intervention - they really don't.
I agree with you. People who can't stand rape and consent and all shuld really have stop reading this manga after first chaper and do something better instead of wasting 10-12years of their life simply complaint for a fictional story.

T-sensei is 20 and the attack when Kota's father died was during Kota's HS years - that's at least 6 years ago (he's 24). Which means T-sensei was 14 or younger. I'm not excusing him, but something must have been really f*ked up for a person that young to become so violent and he mentions the children needing friends. So he likely suffered some form of abuse and had no one to turn to in his own childhood.
Kota does need to face this and deal with it. He doesn't have to do a complete 180 but for his own sake, he has to find some peace - whether that be through forgiveness or understanding or compassion or just raging until it's all out of his system. Kako doesn't understand true ugliness in people and she's much too naive and trusting - maybe this event will help them both.
