so what i got was they were in the same high school and were interested in each other but never had sex or kissed
then years later, brown haired dude purposefully left tracks for kuze to find him
kuze who was a detective and went undercover to out the bad guys
did kuze arrest brown haired dude or not after they had sex for the first time ? did brown haired dude want to be arrested or left just enough for kuze to find the other guys but not arrest him ?
why did kuze disappear for 2 months ? where does all the story happen ? i hear about coming back to japan, and then they talk about him leaving for japan, so where are they and when ?
and now they're coming back home together ? or not ? wth
is kuze worried brown haired is going to be found ? by the police ? or by the gangs he deals with ?

It's like a saying. They mean whenever something good happens, they're waiting for something bad to happen. Usually when things are going too well, something bad might happen. I hope this cleared it up for you.
