Looks more like love and hate. Also definitely slightly changed, not scene by scene, dialog by dialog copy of the old one. I'm not a fan at all... what do you guys think? You like the new art?
I'm mostly concerned they'll change the story too significantly and will bring more of the ex-bf melodrama. IMO the current story is perfect the way it is...

The new one is so sterile and has no character, imo. The old characters are just so lively and human and nice. The new ones are just... blank.

I totally agree, the new version has no flavor tbh. I know they wanted to make a version with an “improved” art style, but the simplicity of the old one had so much charm and just generally gave the story beautiful atmosphere.
Also seems like the original is no longer on tapas (thought it hasn't been there for some time, I think) and the comica page is blank. Meaning it's only available now on illegal websites? This is pretty annoying. I assume it's because of licensing issues with lezhin.
If only re-mastered version is available on lezhin I'm not re-buying that crap.

Thank you for updating and your effort and trying to let many others enjoy the story. Not gonna lie, it was really hard to read and understand though.
FYI This webtoon is officially translated on lezhin right now, but it'll take some time to catch up. If you want to show your support to the author pls go ahead and do it there.
Not sure if the other translation team dropped this because of it or maybe they didn't have time for it recently.

I think the problem we are experiencing here is due to pacing and the fact that chapters are released quarterly, therefore we have a perception that Uecchi is only a replacement, Mafuyu doesn't love him, leave Yuki's grave alone, etc etc. We get like 4 chapters a year and some extras, so the perception is that the angst just keeps dragging on with no movement.
I re-read vol 1 recently when I got the physical copy and I was just marvelling at Ue and Mafuyu's relationship - there was no doubt there that Mafuyu likes him, he gets jealous even, it's so damn cute. But now we're just getting through a point of progression that takes a lot of time because of the pacing and the releases, so it seems like it's been years since anything nice happened to those two. I'm almost sure that if it was a binge read of a couple of volumes the response would have been different. I love Gusari's work, but it's also on the author to keep the pacing and story development consistent and enjoyable keeping in mind the release schedule. Art is art, but comics/mangas are also a commercial product.
So anyway, if you are frustrated with current state of affairs just re-read the first volume or two, it's hella adorable. Hopefully it will remind you what the story was about.

and i feel like it is especially rewarding when we get through the bump and see how the story unfolds (getting to go back and reread everything) -- honestly makes me so much more attached to the characters and story

I mean yeah, Ren was an asshole (tbh he reminds me of Kageyama lol) or insensitive or whatever, but at least they were both aware on their situation while it was happening. While the cousin guys was the one who molested the poor bunny when he wasn't even aware or responsive or inebriated or understood anything that was happening to him. The consent Kaede gave to Ren was pretty dubious, but it was there. He did NOT give any consent to the other guy, wasn't even aware of it.
If you give shit to Ren for being an insensitive asshole and blaming him for forcing himself on the bunny, don't fucking omit the issue where there was literally no consent given. Seriously.
Also if you come for me screeching that no, he didn't give consent to Ren either, whatever, I'm not gonna fight it, I don't disagree. I'm just making a point about something else.

No, the consent was complete trash. It was hardly consent at all, he had no other choice but to abide and didn't start to enjoy it until l8ter on when they got closer. People are defending Ren but they both left terrible first impressions.
As I said in my second comment I don't disagree. Both are bad. I was pointing out that you can't glaze over the cousin dude if you are not applying yaoi logic to the situation with Ren either.

I love this story and these characters and the author (and the translators) immensely. I have 0 disappointment about the storyline and character development. If it's the way it goes, then it's the way it should be.

Correct me if I'm wrong and read it wrong, but as of chapters 90+ Jimmy had sex with Henry and they are now together? While Taylor is getting drunk and being depressed.
Also the author's twitter is only full of Jimmy x Henry, feels like they are not really interested in Jimmy x Taylor anymore and it shows. I'm not against it, but it's hard to read a story that kinda changes gears 90 chapters in from what I was expecting, so I don't think it's worth investing the time and money into it anymore. If the author is not interested themselves in the supposedly "main" pair themselves - it will show in the story and it won't really give you satisfaction or feel true. But than again maybe now Jimmy x Henry is the endgame? Idk, don't care much too, but I thought I might share.

You are free to ship whatever you like but I'm a simple person and I usually expect the endgame pair to be the one that's advertised in the beginning. Just personal preference.
No one told me that Henry was going to be the top from how they keep Showing Jimmy was the dominant one wtf
So in the comments for the old version the author said that they wanted to give the ex more screen time and include him more in the plot, but it didn't work out. I'm 100% sure they will add a shit load more drama with him in the new version. So yeah, prepare for more shitty love triangles.
This was such a lovely story that didn't have too much of any 3rd party interference, at least not in a way where the uke was going back and forth. I'm 100% sure that's what gonna be in the remastered version. I'm just hoping that it won't be to an extent where Jeongwoo will get back together with him...

I think one of the reasons Jeongwoo was charming was that he was able to make his decision confidently in the end, and wasn't going back and forth...It will be very disappointing if that happens and if he's so indecisive.
