Being so serious, I’m not moved (emotionally)… I feel like Glen is suppose to be character I should care about more, but I don’t.
His death just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, it feels like a weird plot device/set-up for the romantic progression (don’t have to agree to this, but in this moment this is how I feel). I’m just not fucking with how this situation even progressed, like Ross pulling up and causing all of this BS dead feels random/unserious, because the stakes of the situation don’t seem that high despite all that transpired (cuz yk a man literally died).
Anyways, as the story went on it just feels like his character became detached from moving the plot and more so on moving Shin’s character. Like… I feel bad, but not because he died but because of how it affected Shin, yk? Even just as I was reading some of the comments online and shit, the reaction to his death has been very Shin-focused… which makes sense cause, yk, they’re siblings and this is the freaking main character’s family! But like I wish I was more sad/disappointed because his character is now gone and not because of how sad the situation is in Shin losing basically his only family member.
Really, a part of me feels like the author wasted him, but at the same time didn’t because of the things stated above. It’s an unfortunate situstion but oh well, the story will continue. rip.

god that chapter ending is just depressing…

IKR The novel described it quite brutally:
The bucket contained all sorts of food waste from the guild. One of the alchemists smiled broadly.
“As expected, trolls have incredible vitality. They don’t get stomachaches and things like that, so they can even dispose of leftover food.”
“It takes care of the trash and makes money. Efficient, right?”
A lump of rotten filth gurgled down the troll's throat. Troll No. 3 writhed in pain, feeling nauseous.
“Ahhhh… … .”
However, he was unable to pull out the pipe directly connected to his esophagus by himself. Troll No. 3 opened his eyes wide in humiliation and misery.
“Oh, I have to feed the other guys too.”
The alchemists took up their buckets and poured them into the other trolls one by one. Soft groans filled the dark cellar.
“uuuuh… … .”
One troll woman burst into tears, but the alchemists simply passed by. A silent scream filled the cellar.
Amidst the inaudible screams and cries, the alchemists conversed.

Start on Novelbin which has chapters until Chp 225
Switch off to fortuneethernal Chp 208 - you have to MTL (machine translate) the rest; (Click the English option below the 'translate here' function)

i’m starting to realize bls straight up follow trends.
there was the whole squiring trend (with bottoms), then we entered that weird phase of like dark/black flag tops & authors “compensating” readers by making it over the top smutty, and now we’re entering the tops squirting phase.
there r some more that i caught onto but i can’t remember them rn
i just rlly don’t like that there wasn’t a stronger reaction to the fact he was getting prostituted out by his sister and that he felt obligated to please her, implying coercion, implying non-consensual actions… like what happened?
this was def rushed, which is disappointing but oh well…
