cain and jooin are a thing from the past life. idk just felt that way with the last two chapters.
first, when cain saw jooin in hanbok he said, he looks just like he remembers.
second, cain calls jooin master. i think cain was jooin's servant in their past lives.
third, cain said jooin is always kind to him and takes him nice places or something every time. maybe that's something jooin did for cain in his past life.
fourth, might be a bit irrelevant but cain and jooin first met each other in a historical place and from what cain said seems like he comes to Korea quite often and that one time he got lucky and finally met jooin.
these are just my observation. i'm neither team cain nor team yahwi. i want jooin to be happy in the end and i'm reading this solely for the sake of entertainment. i have forbidden myself to be invested in love triangles after Love or Hate.
i was thinking that's Cain was Jooin's dog in his past live, cuz, his name is "Canis Lupus" that's mean dog in Latin, he call him master like, the dog and his owner "master", and idk, he seems like a puppy, doesn't he ? he follow Jooin everywhere, want to defend him from that Yahwi, and he doesn't know how to speak Korean. but maybe he doesn't know how to speak at all first ?? lmao idk if i'm understandable, i'm not fluent in english

How can a kisaeng have bodyguards? I'm not demeaning them, just trying to understand. I thought they were not respected. Can someone please explain? I love Heena Noona btw.
What is kisaeng?
No in fact majority of kisaeng (prostitutes) had bodyguards with them in the old days... this was for their safety when they go out... Because they do it as work and its consensual but some people might just attack them if they are alone... so thats why
Even if they are not respected by many people... we cannot deny that kisaeng houses were famous source of entertainment back in those days... so there were maannnyyy people who enjoyed their company so they do need some sort of protection so that not all sort of people come pouncing on them
She must be respectable kisaeng idk.. But in some kdrama i saw kisaeng also has like male servants who pull her cart. And if one kisaeng is a favorite of a noble or higher class man, i think it's possible if she has that kind of treatment such as guards, money, and ect
Thank you so much for your answers. I understand the situation better now.
Girls from poor background would provide entertainment or sex for money back in those days...
Oh I understand now, thank you
