So my running theory is that Duke Rafael is the serial killer. He’s rich enough to have the black carriage mentioned before and be able to hide it. And of course he’s extremely into Louis, who all the victims have shared characteristics with (short black hair, white skin).
I believe what generally happened 4 months ago is that Duke Rafael actually drugged Louis to make him susceptible to suggestions and leave with him. This is the same drug used on the killer’s victims which we know causes memory loss. Louis wasn’t drunk that night, he just doesn’t remember well bc of the drug.
However, before Rafael could take advantage of the situation and take Louis, the prince ends up talking with him first and their conversation leads to Louis agreeing to go with him to bed. Of course, he doesn’t remember WHO he slept with so the prince likely thinks he is pretending that night never happened.

Everyone is getting confused by this. Raeliana TOLD Noah all about her reincarnation and the books original plot. Raeliana stopped keeping stuff from him when she realized she wanted to live her life how she wanted outside of the original plot and because when she started slowly dying from being in the wrong body and Noah wanted to know why.
Noah only learned this stuff recently. He did not know it from the very beginning. He is just speaking with the knowledge of all that he learned throughout this ordeal they went through

It’s just like he said though is that he’s “quick to notice things”. He was able to discern that something was up because of things like a mysterious person entered their train car, how the train was suddenly stopped (which he implies he knows was weird and caused by the Goddess before addressing her), the fact that Beatrice is dead thus probably was anticipating something like this happening since the “plot” can’t continue as planned, and probably just his generally good inuition.
