I think what happened is:
- Doc is trying to use GJ’s soul to cleanse the bullet
- Doc was making sure their souls stay seperate, but he was distracted by the attack
- Due to that Cain’s soul was kinda consuming (?) GJ’s to heal up
- Doc knows the bullet hasn’t been fully removed so he resolved to sacrifice GJ to finish the job
- Cain notices policeman disappearing and senses something wrong, so he finds him and grabs him
- Then Cain breaks out of the spell using his own power with GJ’s consciousness, hence saving him from dying. But the ritual was stoped midway so half of the bullet is still inside his heart.

I love the way they handle every single character with respect. Even with Minato’s mum who tried to understand him but failed to for so long that her unfortunate actions caused him grieve, in the end was presented the misunderstanding matter-of-fact-ly and all of them learn and move on. I desperately wish there would be an extra on Akiyoshi because the poor boy deserves to find his own happiness, but I can settle with knowing that he will be fine.

I don’t like Chowon as a person, but I’m not gonna lie, that bit when he sits in the car, next to Kyungsoo, wrapped in his muffler, and the focus shifts to his eyes - I felt something. I wish Chowon would find his redemption and happiness.
BUT duh he threw away the med so I hope Kyungsoo won’t have to deal with an omega in heat... lol
