Nah i believe he knew about Remme's powers but never mentioned them because of their promise. So when the others wanted him out of the group the only reason Phoenix could defend him was by saying that they were friends, because if he just said that he is stronger than you think then the others would want proof, but after some time the other three decided to kick Remme out and the excuse "we are friends so he is staying" wouldn't have worked because the if not the group would always end up fighting and would self-destruct. I think Remme understood that so he willingly left before it was too late.

They're both teenagers and he lost his whole family. It's unfair to thrust the whole burden on him like he's some experienced adult that should know how to balance being a duke and a husband.

Also, while he felt attracted to her initially because he looked like his death wife, he ended up falling in love of how she is as a person, I remember something among the lines that the og FL find out about the look-alike, but they ended up resolving that.
NOW, that aside, I really want an MC who is confident enough to fall in love and say, "you know what? He likes me too, we like each other, is a shame for FL BUT WE LIKE EACH OTHER"
