Idk why but switching just feels wrong. Even if in real life gay couples always switch, in manga it just doesn’t work for me.

I know I do have, but my domain are estrogen and progesterone which create a little different sexual behavior and needs, so you know... it's just a figure of speech instead of saying 'if I was a man'. Tbh, I hate switching in manga so much. I don't mind if it's in real life but doing that in manga is just so wrong in my opinion since the seme won't look cool anymore in my head

Why couldn't they both look cool? There are those pairs which switch and they both look bloody gorgeous. Each of them is cool, even bottoming, and it gives a thrill to not know which one will be the top in a particular moment. Why does one of them always act like an innocent virgin? It's not realistic. Even many women don't act alike. If there wouldn't be those words like seme and uke to label every story from the very first panels, it'd be much more interesting. It's just like a standard straight relationship in many cases - you have a bigger guy who protects and is cool and you have the smaller guy who is weaker and often feminine. But well, whatever...
PS It is in real life as far as I know. There are no things like seme and uke in reality, just sometimes happen guys who like topping or like bottoming, not excluding any option.

And one more thing - I think about the seme (in my imagination) as the one that could hold me and it's ok but also I consider the uke in my sexual tastes and it aches me when I see such uke who acts all girly innocent during sex (or just with seme overall) in two ways - 1. I wouldn't do that, so why does he? 2. It's not very manly, it's not what I've seen and expect. Honestly, you’re 100% percent correct. In my opinion, it’s just that since yaoi aren’t reality, and are fictional "we" don’t have the same perception of how a gay couples should act and I think we got so used to the dominant submissive relationship and we really get attached to characters. So if a "cool" seme/uke has a dominant personality throughout the whole manga, and suddenly since a dick entered their ass, their personality changes, and the seme becomes submissive, "we» lose interest in the characters. I don’t know if that makes sense but it just happens. And I understand your worry about how the couple should both satisfy each other’s need, but for some reason the simple idea of the uke putting it in the seme’s whole, doesn’t feel right. There’s probably a neurological meaning behind why we think that way.

Also, m o s t of the yaoi readers are female or like men, so you should google ‘why women love yaoi’ and I think that could answer a couple of your questions.

Yeah, that's what my worries are basically. Hm, maybe I just can't understand why can't it be attractive in yaoi to switch positions for you and other people I suppose. That makes no sense for my reasoning, but I respect it. There are stories for everybody in this matter, just fewer for me (⌒▽⌒)
Honestly, if it comes to looking for reasons why those things look as they look, I really notice the difference in sex and realtionships portrayed in japaneese culture (yaoi included) comapared to the Western (European for me) culture. In my society the equality is pretty normal - both partners rather cook, both partners are independable, women are the ones 'tempting' and inviting in some bolder ways sometimes, the sex itself is initiated as often by a woman as man and moreover women really like it, often happens their even more eager to experiment and take lead. While in japaneese stories it's just like in yaoi, what I've said earlier, they're weaker, take care of duties, are mostly completly picked up by a man (who are so cool and impressive on the contrary), in sex they act innocently-virgin-like, for me sometimes - as if they were being raped, like they don't want it basically. In yaoi too. It doesn't suit me, so I search especially carefully to find those yaoi in which the characters are rather not like that, more 'western' let's say. It satisfies me in some way if at least the uke is willingly having sex and likes it.
And I pretty much know why grils like yaoi but I suppose I like it for slightly different reason, which changes my perceiveness.

I think equality is what characters want, switching doesn't have to be included nor does it mean an equal relationship. If someone wants to say, strictly be a bottom I don't see whats wrong with that nor should you feel sorry for their dicks (they and their dicks still get satisfied). And of course there are hetero men who wanted to hold you, but if you think about it they aren't really "allowed" to explore any other option. Meanwhile gay men are more open to exploring what they really want. Some men want to top, some want to bottom, and some want both.

I want to add that some gay men want neither. There are actually lots of gay men who don't partake in anal sex at all.

What I noticed is actually this lack of equality in yaoi relationships, I mentioned it in previous comments, how they act streotypically. So this is the most important thing for me, cuz I can live with seme-uke ralation if it's equal. But you see, in this particular manga we talk about an uke who wanted to do seme, but seme selfishly decided that he'll monopolize his position. It's not the first or the last case I've seen, it irks me. The story is different, when uke himself doesn't have any complaints about his position and likes it - than I'm also fine with it.
I know that gays have divrese relations but as far as my knowledge goes, they're less fixated to keep their position as top or bottom, regardless of what they prefer.
And heterosexual men have nearly as much options as gay. There are more and more of those who want to experiment, just involving their woman or a second man in threesome - as my man once mentioned he'd love to try. It didn't change his interest in woman, he was just curious to try new things.

Ok and I agree with you on the lack of equality (and don't get me started on the rape stuff), it's just that they way you worded some things were a bit...off putting. Like as if only switch can be equal or that bottoms can't be satisfied. Heterosexual men have as many options, but most do not experiment in regards to position(s) or getting penetrated like many gay men do (hence why gay men have diverse preferences). Well, my thought process is often complicated and I have this thing to say things without putting them in nice order first, so as not to cause misunderstandings. What's more, I jumped to the comment section right after reading, all frustrated that I was tricked again. When I'm angry my language is not very diplomatic, I like to throw everything at once. Now that I look at my opinion I see I went a little overboard. But it's exactly because this story was not fair and I can't agree with such things, every time I come on one (it happens too often). There's so few switches and for some mysterious reason authors really don't like them, which results in stories like this one.
