Well, she says Sangwoo never really saw Bum for whom he truly was. So even if he loved Bum, it was just because he basically imagined Bum as his mother and was trying to fill the hole left after she died. An idealized version of her that finally loved him back.

So i think even if he was a psychopats he really fall in love to him. If he just loved Bum because he imagine bum was his mom he called mom at the hospital, not bum.

If you try to understand the story , Its actually sad because obviously Haesoo and Joowon liked each other and they have something special. They were brothers and their mom found out about their relationship so they cant be together . I really hate this kind of story line because it makes me dissapointed and sad.
