i feel like if the side couple were abt mc brother then it wouldn't be as annoying to see? bcuz right now as cute as the black panther and the mermaid couple are, they have little to no relation to the main couple at all. most of the side couple in other stories have at least a little bit more plot or relationship relevance with the main couple but this one just feel a little bit meh

don't get me wrong, the side couple are cute, i just don't care enough abt them

i love poly relationship where each of them have unique but equally special dynamic, chemistry and thoughts of each other. like i really love how zazie and seto relationship works and how they think of each other, how they're so important to each other that seto consider killing ewan himself just for the confusion that it caused (tho obviously even when they didn't realized they're already in love with ewan, they couldn't have killed ewan anyway)
