I was genuinely surprised at how much I liked this considering I couldn’t stand the beginning. Every character feels so fleshed out, and I felt like when they said something to another character, it wouldn’t just feel like random exposition but something I could realistically see that character saying or doing.
PS: Anybody whose readings this and is tempted to check the comments at a really crazy part definitely hold off. Mad spoilers below.

Okay here’s what I could get from left to right:

Basically what I said before is I get why Shii is moving fast given the deadline, but I think he is approaching the relationship in the wrong way.
I was really happy with the author’s characterization of Shii at first because she addressed topics that other yaoi authors look over. Like how is some yaoi/BL, when characters are asked why they like their partner they say, “I love you because your you, I don’t care that your a man!” (not in those exact words but you get what I mean). When Shii mentioned how part of his attraction to Tamaki is because he’s a guy I was really hopeful. But in these later chapters, Shii’s been coming off more like an outdated rapey seme archetype. Like obvi they are going to end up fine by the end of the manga and be super lovey dovey but I wish the author approached the start of their relationship differently.
I legit swung back and forth between loving and sympathizing with certain characters, and then feeling extremely frustrating with them. Everyone had a nice duality though. Best characters for me were Valentine and William, especially with how they comforted Jeremy early on. Side note, is it implied that Jeremy and Ian are still smashing at the end of the manga? I’m crossing my fingers that they were able to become more than lovers and be a support system for one another, but I can’t tell. ( ̄へ ̄)
