How dare this manga melt my heart into a gooey puddle! Chihiro is a precious cinnamon roll and I just wanna snuggle the hell out of him. I also enjoyed Yamada's character. He wasn't overbearing as a seme and he genuinely loved Chihiro for the person he is. Let's face it: they're BOTH precious cinnamon rolls!
I don't know why I continue to read this manga when the characters have hardly changed. If anything Erika has gotten more idiotic over time and Kyouya still treats Erika like his pet. I believe he REALLY does care about her in his own way, but he can't get past his own bullshit in order to behave like a decent, supportive boyfriend. Erika has the right to go to the school of her choice. I also understand why Kyouya became unhinged at the idea of Erika leaving him behind, but he handled it VERY poorly at the time. He literally had to be SLAPPED in order to realize he was being a prick!?!? And now that he's told her to go for her dream and that he's not breaking up with her when she leaves, what happens next? Unless this manga is finally coming to an end I'm afraid we're in for some more bullshit.
I've stopped reading it at around chap25. There's a big difference to being a jerk and just being a cold guy. I couldn't take what he was doing to the MC, so I stopped reading it.
I feel ya! I agree with you and the OP. This latest chapter was quite disappointing of a read - one was complacent and wanted to give up her dream; the other was rather self-centred and couldn't compromise until the last second after he gets physically slapped. Thank goodness for San-chan, the story's foil.
This manga is absolutely adorable so far. It isn't overly dramatic and the characters are ALL likable, including the sole female character. I only hope that the story doesn't rush into anything sexual literally one chapter after they confess to one another. It's not that I won't like it if things take that route (because I'm a pervert. Hehe) but I've learned to appreciate it when a story takes time to develop relationships.

As a Yaoi fan, I was always baffled why THIS manga constantly showed up in my suggestions. So after months of ignoring it I decided to read this as my first Yuri manga. And after reading this story I've come to the conclusion that either I chose a bad example as a "starter" Yuri manga, or I'm genuinely not into Yuri. I didn't really FEEL anything while I was reading it. Was it a bad story? Not really. It was extremely hyper-sexualized like most "dirty" manga are. And was the art bad? No. It was well drawn!
I'm a straight female. I enjoy seeing men in sexual situations, whether it's with a female or another man. Sadly, I got no enjoyment from watching two women going at it. To be clear: there's absolutely NOTHING wrong if you like Yuri manga over Yaoi, or the other way around. Everyone has their own preference!
I definitely agree with you. I've never been a fan of yuri manga, but I read a shoujo-ai manga and it was okay so I thought I'd try and read something a little more adult-like (haha the wrong word to use) and I liked the idea of a story about first love... However, this manga did nothing for me. I totally relate to your comment
Couldn't have said it better myself (although I attempted to) :D
I'm a woman too... And I thought this was extremelly erotic. I mean, it didin't turn me on, but I can't deny it was sexy.
