It all feels perfect to me, though. Like in real life, the length of time you spent with a person has nothing to do with how strongly you may feel about them. The guy who’s always been by your side won’t mean shxt romantically if someone who actually pulls at your heartstrings shows up. Then there’s the attraction and the looking forward to seeing them factor. Nothing you can do about feelings. Not everything requires a slow build up; sometimes feelings just happen. And for them, they have the added bonus of having past memories of each other.
i’m not saying that i would drop the story over this- it’s written well honestly! but all the other characters, especially the family(i understand they’re built more since they live together and she grows up with them but you get the idea) have been built well and even the supporting cast have had enough screen time to make them feel more... comfortable i guess in lippe’s relationship. he just felt so rushed into the story with his first appearance being he dosent care much for her and his next hes in love with her. i just think if these supporting characters were built well and had enough screen time shouldnt the male lead?
I guess I’m just not as bothered by how their feelings developed for each other as you are; it really feels pretty natural to me. It sucks for the ones who we’ve seen liking her from the beginning, but I don’t believe it makes their feelings for each other any less valid.
I wouldn’t say that he isn’t well built as a character either. Like you said, it’s just that we’ve seen the others more often and quite frankly, I’m always looking forward to the next time Rias will show up because I find his character so intriguing.
Plus theres still plenty of time to get to know the guy, honestly. Lippe is still 12 years old and not any closer to understanding the truth of what happened in the previous timeline, so I don’t feel that Rias is rushed at all. He simply has his own time and his own things going on. There’s plenty of time left for us to fully get to know him.
