I get attached easily, and I can't handle it well when my favourite character died suddenly. It happened in an anime for a character That's not even in the manga, but I like him anyway. He died, and I never finished the anime.
So I read spoilers when I'm about to watch an anime or play a game where death is inevitable. Also, it's boring but I usually stick to my favourite character being the main character. They won't die, at least until the end.
Sameee nowdays I read web novels but before this when physical book was my thing I used to read last chapter after first chapter just to see if all of them are happy

Apparently the original novel is not even finished. Honestly the fact it gets a manga is quite surprising.
He could've gotten his niece to become queen in a more peaceful way. He could've spread rumours that incite civilians' extreme dissatisfaction towards royalties and nobilities, and then put Violet as a saviour of the kingdom or something. He has the dirty laundries already, why not spread it lethally.
Instead he chose a weird a** plan. Without even informing Violet. She could've done a better job herself,
that wouldn't make violet's position stable. There's a reason that royals would eliminate possible heirs when they took the throne. And for not telling violet, I think he has a reason. (also violet wouldn't have done that)
