Has really changed and Im torn about it. On the one hand it's really pretty and both characters are pretty hot. On the other hand, I'm not sure I'd be able to clock that this work is by the author of Sign, and not because the art style has changed - and ofc art styles evolve - but because there was a certain distinctness to Sign's art that I find lacking here. Idk. I still really love this story so far doe and the sex is

I think this story was only ever gonna end one way and that's with Haesoo and Joowon ending up together. This was always a story about them finding a way back to each other and Taku might have changed the way they got there, but he wouldn't have been able to ever stop them from getting together. Taku himself noted that Haesoo only ever had eyes for one person. It was always going to ne Joowon for him. Maybe if Haesoo had met Taku and never met Joowon they'd have more of a chance but with Joowon in the picture,
Haesoo would always either choose him or end up single. In fact, it could also go completely differently if Haesoo and Joowon never met and Taku and Haesoo met early since the author said that Taku burrowed his way into a void in Haesoo's life because of his situation with Joowon. If that void never existed, Haesoo might not have even been involved with Taku. Same with Taku, who might not have even been interested in Haesoo. Even the author confirms that if Taku and Haesoo had gotten together here, they'd break up one day. Hell, Haesoo approaches his relationship with Taku to be one that has a timer. He always knew their relationship was gonna end because of how much Joowon meant to him and that's how he approached it and he wanted that. Joowon and Haesoo were always the end pairing. What Taku changed was how they approached their relationship, not the relationship itself. Joowon values Haesoo the most in his life and Haesoo will choose Joowon over anyone. That's how it was always going to be. Taku changed the beats of the story, but the story was only ever going to end one way. Even when the author posits the possibility of them breaking up one day, she still says you'd have to remove the narrative trope of pre-destined faith and write them as any other couple but that she's certain they'd make the effort to have more faith in and more love and attention for each other. And even then, Haesoo and Joowon would still be a part of each other's lives. Joowon was right when he claimed that he and Haesoo were always gonna be together. What changed was that relationship becoming a lot healthier and smitten, thanks to Taku's sacrifice
