I can't take any of the other characters other than Azusa (and I'm clinging onto him because of sentiment only) because everything is so cartoonish and outlandishly, in your face evil. Subtle has no place in this manga. Azusa could literally transfer schools and sacrifice a bit of pride (seen he'll be viewed as 'running away' by others) instead of suffer humiliation and rape the entire time but no one in this manga has brains.
People like this? Leaving aside the obvious and constant rape, at least Minori no Te had a more consistent arc for each character and great chemistry. This was . . . lackluster compared to her other masterpieces. Average and certainly not bad, but not worth its major hype.
No one's shaming anyone. I was just confused as to why people liked the manga but didn't insult them or anything. Don't be so sensitive. People will dislike stuff you like all the time. If you wanna debate them then go ahead but don't put words in other people's mouths or try to explain what someone else was feeling or doing.
My bad if you took it that way, but I wasn't tryna be condescending or rhetorical, so much as genuinely confused because this manga is really popular, even though I found it to be pretty bad imo, and objectively incredibly average. The hype about it just seemed off hence the OG comment. That being said, I'm under no obligation to 'go' after commenting my dislike. I don't need the validation of some gatekeepers who can't take any sort of dissent.
Can I just say that the MC is incredibly attractive? Like, in some panels he's purposely drawn weird but he's exactly my type with his lazy/lidded eyes and exasperated/tired face. Plus that mole is just lickable on his face ლ(´ڡ`ლ)That's not saying that I like people with those characteristics, but that in fiction this look always make them look sexy. Idk about y'all but I prefer our MC to those preening peacocks.
That being said, although Hatano-kun (the younger bro's friend who first confessed to our MC) is easily the hottest character in the manga (and he's my type too with his long hair and pretty face) his ridiculous reason of liking the MC cuz of 1 conversation 8 years ago makes absolutely no sense, even if unfortunately, it's a very common trope in romance manga, so I won't be able to root for him if he doesn't actually get to know the MC and then like him.
Did this dad just allow a stranger into his house while his daughter was there, allow her near him with supervision and allowed the two to bathe together? Because wtf that's pedo bait.
And what was the point of the rape aside from shock value? It didn't even add to the trauma and flesh it out properly, let alone the plot.
Why were the two leads drawn to each other again?
What . . .
Dang! Even though the main couple was cute, I would've loved for it to have become omega x omega with ofc Kiri-san as our love interest. It would've been so cute and broken so many typical norms. Oof, those two would've been great together.
Side note, can I just say that that asshole brat was forgiven way too easily like wtf? No MC, it wasn't just a prank; you could've been raped, hell you almost were. Plus, you were clearly traumatised later on so like tf? Too naive. Except for that, this was very cute.
Now give Kiri san their own omega partner!
Hmmmm . . . Personally I think either way is fine: you can choose to forgive, or choose not to. Either way is valid. However, you also shouldn't be so naïve that you get taken advantage of. Plus, I was more so criticizing the mangaka for depicting the attempted rape aftermath so half-heartedly and just trivializing what could've happened. Calling someone out for a crime and holding them accountable is the kind thing to do, not brush it under the rug in a way that encourages that behaviour.

The sex was really hot.
