I think she is aware. She knows she can’t change any of the major plot points like her attitude towards the og heroine but she change some of smaller/insignificant points. As I read to the lastest chapter, I kinda feels bad for Yeri (the red haired girl). Often in their conversations, she seems to be excluded. Probably because I've been put all my interest on her, it feels even worst as the time passed by. What the hell is the author thinking? Is Yeri only a decoration in their friendship or what?
