I'm being impatient and read all the spoilers. Now that I do, I no longer curious about everything and concluded I have not enough gut to actually read the manhwa......

As someone who keeps track of this manhwa’s rating journey, you have no idea how happy I am seeing it finally go from 8.9 to 9.2 after such a long time. Even just a month ago it was still at 9.1, and now it’s gone up by 0.1. I’m so glad more people are reading this masterpiece and not getting baited by those bad reviews that aren’t even true lmao.

I think a lot of the low ratings were based on the fact that mc had no control of his life now/didn’t ask for the system. The story began like that, which put a lot of people off. Wasn’t even entirely on the reviews, just the first 2 chapters made people irked by the series. Even I was put off and only decided to read this story bc it had 50+ chapters n I was out of things to read.

EXACTLY. This masterpiece was so underrated its making my scalp itchy from frustation... im so glad its rating has gotten so much better and I hope it will just got better from now on!!

Oh, I like this one. It's funny and unique. I don't like that FL is lowkey a stalker though ╥﹏╥

    H1th3r3 November 8, 2025 12:57 pm

The ML will soon out match her.

모태솔로 November 6, 2025 7:30 am

The story is well-balanced, centered equally between the FL and ML. It has that classic storytelling style where the author switches between both main characters’ POVs from time to time. These days, most stories tend to focus on just one perspective. If it’s male MC-centered, everything revolves around him; if it’s female MC-centered, then it’s all from her side. So seeing this old style make a comeback so refreshingly was such a pleasant surprise. I honestly love it.

The art is also extremely pretty. I really appreciate how the artist didn’t exaggerate any body proportions and still managed to portray the main characters exactly as described. Absolutely gorgeous.

모태솔로 November 6, 2025 4:49 am

That's it? No side story at all? Honestly, the story is good, if only they deliver it better than this. They make is very rushed and hasty. Well, considering this ended in just 50+ chapters, they might be trying to cut some details instead. But it would be amazing if the pacing was a bit slower than this. Anyway, it was a fun read.

모태솔로 November 5, 2025 5:34 am

I like the story—the premise is good, the art is pretty, and even though there’s a hint of harem, it doesn’t bother me because the story focuses on horror. Plus, all the female characters are wandering ghosts, and their stories are touching enough to show they were all good people.

What really bothers me, though, is the MC’s personality. I feel like common sense should tell him that entering someone else’s home without permission is a crime, no matter the reason. Most houses these days have interfaces that record attempts to unlock doors, so if he tried breaking in and there was evidence, he’d likely get caught. On top of that, he’s still not in the clear regarding Hayeon’s body—thanks to his help, he even becomes one of the prime suspects.

He could have at least explained to the new ghost, Sieun, that she shouldn’t act rashly, or planned his approach more carefully. From what Sieun said, she lived with an old friend who ran away from home and was later killed by that same friend. MC should have deduced that this friend might still be living in Sieun’s place. Also, the fact that no missing report was filed for Sieun after her death should have raised suspicion. In an apartment complex that seems well-maintained, neighbors usually notice if someone hasn’t been seen for weeks, months, or even years.

If he’s a game streamer who has played across multiple genres, is it really possible for him to think this naively? Surely he’s played at least one detective-style game. How could such a simple deduction not come to mind at all?

Honestly, his naivety makes the story frustrating to read. For the first time in a story with a male MC surrounded by female characters, I actually disliked the MC. Usually, in harem stories, I criticize the author for too much fanservice, but here, I genuinely don’t mind the fanservice at all. It's amazing how my annoyance is entirely focused towards the MC’s behavior, and I think this might be my limit.

But… well, since I don’t have anything else to read right now, I’m trying to hold on for a few more chapters. If his personality improves, that’ll be a plus for me. If not, then it’s just one more reason to drop the story completely.

모태솔로 November 5, 2025 1:01 am

The story is good, and I actually had fun reading it up to the most recent chapter. I love the MC’s character design, and he kind of reminds me of Gojo Satoru. His backstory and his hatred toward his twin are justified, and it really made me curious about the truth behind why and how she became like that. The author has a good knack for creating suspense and twists.

Still, there are some parts of the story that bother me. For context, I haven’t read the novel nor searched for any spoilers before this.

THIS CONTAIN SPOILERS

First, Aldis, the one who practically raised both of them as a mother figure. Honestly, Arielle getting mad at the MC is also justified, though I know there’s probably more to it. If I found out my sibling had those kinds of feelings toward the person who raised us, I’d be mad too. Him having romantic feelings for Aldis since childhood feels wrong. If it was just a childhood crush that faded as he grew up, that would’ve been fine since kids sometimes have those silly one-sided crushes. But the fact that it lasted for decades, even after he became an adult, really rubs me the wrong way. After all, Aldis was like their mother, and she took on that role when she was only 12, basically still a child herself. In my opinion, it’s wrong, though I understand others might see it differently.

Second, the blonde girl, Midiam. I accidentally came across a spoiler while writing this comment, and it said that she becomes the FL later on. Her character development is great, and I do like how she realized that the MC is a good Heralds and how both she and her lackey, Ishmael, started to follow his way of thinking. Since they were sent as apprentices, it really showed how they were growing under his guidance.

However, what bothers me again is their age gap. Thinking about it now, it seems pretty common in that world to have large age gaps in relationships. While I like her character growth, their first encounter left a bad impression on me because her arrogance really rubbed me the wrong way. That scene stuck with me unpleasantly.

Right now, she’s still a child. I don’t remember her exact age, but I know she hasn’t reached adulthood yet. The MC might not have any romantic interest in her for now, but it still feels weird reading that spoiler about her being the FL. Since I haven’t read the novel, I don’t know the details, but if the romance develops before she becomes an adult, it’ll definitely add another layer of disappointment for me.

Another reason I don’t like Midiam is that during that first encounter, her childishness wasn’t justified at all. Her way of thinking was just too immature (and honestly, sometimes she still shows bits of that immaturity until now). Even Ishmael seemed to have a more logical mindset at times, though I didn’t like his behavior either.

Again, this is just my personal opinion. I was actually about to drop the story, and the only reason I kept reading from the beginning to the recent chapter in one sitting was because I had nothing else to do and ran out of stories to read. It was just something I picked up on a whim to pass the time. I did have fun reading it, but now that I’ve caught up, I think it’s time to stop since it’s not enough to keep me invested. Still, the story itself isn’t bad. It’s just the details that bothered me. So if anyone reads my writing and is wondering whether to give it a try, go ahead. It might be your cup of tea.

모태솔로 November 3, 2025 9:47 am

I’m being honest with my nonsense here, and I know I might get chewed out for saying this, but I really don’t like how Theon ended up swearing loyalty to MC instead of Calista. In the previous timeline, he originally worked under Calista, so it kinda feels like the MC stole one of Calista’s most reliable allies

As a reader, I think it would’ve been fine if Calista were portrayed as an actual villain. Then Theon switching sides wouldn’t bother me this much. But with how the narration has been so far, it’s clear that Calista was never a bad person, so maybe that’s why this whole thing rubs me the wrong way.

I’m sorry, but I’ve decided to stop reading this after chapter 18. I realized it’s just not my cup of tea. Since I haven’t read the rest, I don’t have the right to judge the story any further. I’m mainly leaving this comment as a little footprint for myself, just in case I come across this story again in the future and forget whether I’ve already read it or not—considering how bad my memory is.

    Hari November 4, 2025 1:27 am

This is such a gentle way to turn down a story and critizing it at the same time. Honestly a fresh air with how obnoxious people can be in the comment section with something that their not cup of tea.

    Beau November 5, 2025 5:25 am

Yeah Theon pledging to his new "master" seemed weird and like we missed a couple steps. Frankly the author could have just kept him neutral or on the side of the sisters instead of the elder council and it would have worked fine

    Shy_Alien December 8, 2025 9:51 am

Well Harper saved Vitory, so now Calista has a new ally for future. You don't need to think that much. And I'm happy that the sister is not evil.

Despite hating the first chapter, I actually still read this until a few recent chapters. I just noticed, did the art style changed? I really don't remember who is who. And the name doesn't ring a bell at all, I don't remember anyone at all.

With Moondae from Debut or Die being as emotionless as Jaehee (this manhwa's MC), it's weird how I still feel conected to Moondae and garsp his emotion. While with Jaehee.... what is he? An AI? I can't feel any emotional connection at all. Perhaps because of the arts? Or because of the narrations? Anyway, it's hard to continue.

Reading the other comments, it seems a lot have the same opinion.

Why would that old man request a different mercenary when he clearly heard that the only C-rank mercenary in that territory is Ketal? C-rank is actually considered pretty high. And besides, mercenary ranks aren’t determined purely by strength, they’re based on how many requests/jobs they’ve completed and how dangerous those jobs usually are.

Also, if the old man knew that Ketal is a Barbarian, shouldn’t he have logically concluded that Ketal is the most suitable one for this job? Barbarians are strong, and even though they’re stereotyped as a “stupid” race, Ketal still managed to reach C-rank, which already proves his competence.

The old man seems to be a bodyguard, and the woman is definitely a princess. So.... how can their reasoning skills be this bad....

    Ianism October 31, 2025 2:31 am

    You forgot some stuff

There's a chance that they only just got there and they wouldn't know Ketal's exploits + they're hiding so probably didn't hear much of the news (I know this one is dumb because if you're hiding, all the more should be privy of the news).
Plus Ketal is an outlier of a barbarian. Most of them are, in their words, dumb
