Yeah that's what i thought too but later on in the shower he was listening to their conversations and smile which means he did that on purpose cuz he knows his daughter will secretly gives him delicious food if he gave him the bad ones and thinks that the dragon will favor her, treats his daughter better from then on instead of only obeying his words

Ok so there was king thing going on in the novel few chapters later. And with things happening Dokja got the nickname "The Ugly King." Can someone tell me from which side he looks ugly??

It's kind of a spoiler, but further in to the story, it was revealed that his face was censored. Like literally, if watched from a screen his face was blurry, and if other characters try and recall what he looks like, they always just have a vague memory of it, no matter how often they see or interact with with him. I won't tell you the reason why, but it's just how it is.
