I don’t understand why the author is trying to make him seem like this timid young misunderstood man blinded by his love for the FL. That don’t make no type of sense to me. He straight up shattered / mangled Uries hand only because of his goddamn superiority complex.
I really hoped there would be a good reason as to why he ruined Uries life and future and as to why he was ready to kill a child simply for talking shit. But no, he’s reason is so goddamn stupid. How can he argue that he was trying to put urie in his place just for standing up for a CHILD, that he was about to kill. AND THEN the author tried to make the kid seem like a bad guy by having them side with the prince for a gold coin. Bruh.
His other excuse was that he was trying to protect Lamia. Motherfucker protect her from what? As far as we know you’re the bad guy here, you are the one everyone hates, you’re the one that’s cast out. On top of that Lamia could literally handle herself, we saw how the maid was handled.

In my opinion that excuse is selfish as fuck. Not only did he ruin her brothers planned future but he barely even tried to fix hers (because she’s supposedly in danger).

He said that he couldn’t let her get the duke position because it would put her in danger. His logic Is that if he just put her brother in the position instead of Lamia then she’ll be safe. (Wtf??) If her brother gets killed in her place then that’s just shitty because he didn’t deserve that but besides that. It means that they’re targeting the duke position. So if her brother (the duke) gets killed then either her father (which is unlikely), Lamia, or their weird ass illegitimate brother cousin would have to take over the position. Let’s say Lamia gets the position because I’m pretty sure the story doesn’t give a fuck about the maids kid. Then Lamia would still be in danger because she still has to take that spot. Now let’s say that it’s not the duke position that they’re targeting. Let’s say it’s Lamia that they’re targeting. What the fuck is changing her position going to do. She’s still one of the empires right hands since she’s a knight for the royals even if she isn’t the duke. So why not just get to the root of the goddamn problem to begin with, you fucking fool instead of insulting her family???

Also, he seems to think that he’s in this nice little friendly relationship with Lamia and they’re just on a friendship basis all of the sudden. It’s not clicking and I don’t know why he seems to think it does. In fact it’s really insulting. Imagine ruining the future of one of the heirs and insulting their family name by dismissing all the cases and leaving their family member to rot but have the utter AUDACITY to come back two years later and hit on their daughter, openly act jealous as if they’re in a relationship which is not good for the public eye and then also proclaim your love (out of NOWHERE) To the daughter. I am so glad she turned him down and cursed him out. It’s so insulting of him to think he’s slick like that.

Besides that, he didn’t even apologize because he wanted to apologize he apologized just because he made a deal with their father. That’s shameful af, and he only said he regretted it to Lamia because Lamia was openly mad at him and wasn’t with his shits. He doesn’t regret it because he gave her brother ptsd he only regrets it because he made lamia mad.

IMO I tried to give this story a chance but the art style kept throwing me off. There was like three different art styles going on and they chose to go with the worse one. In the one shot the art style is different, and then at the end of the one shot page 22 that’s a different art style but then if you read the actual manga the art style changed again. And it changed for the worse. But besides that I feel like the story as a whole is just under developed. It’s rushed in the begining because they wanted to get the story going but it sounds cliche in cringy so it’s hard to get through. And it’s something about the MC I just can’t put my finger on...she’s smart, but she’s not clever.
