Am I the only one that doesn’t like Shion? Like, her whole character design is just... so unnecessary. I get the author wants to show her like a child inside an adult’s body, with a brute strength while having a, well, hot (?) body. HOWEVER, she is just so useless. She decided on her own to be Rimuru’s secretary and bodyguard, and mind you, she never did any work related to being a secretary. Shuna did everything that is supposed to be her work as his secretary. She just wants to stay with Rimuru, and well, act like a fckn child. She just wants to be spoiled. It’s just maddening since everyone works so hard to gain the position they all have, EXCEPT HER. I’ve finished reading the novel, and she just never had any development—just unnecessarily got strong without doing anything. And she’s supposed to be an executive. Sorry but wtf. Her whole character design is a failure. I said my piece. Now persecute me.
Well, I did think she was rather extra so far (I'm updated to ch78 of manga) and I'd most likely rather that she be sent off to the escort mission rather than Diablo.
But, imo besides Diablo being Rimuru's strongest card, Veldora has his own strength too, seeing as he named Rimuru himself. Benimaru is good in terms of power and techniques, except that Hakurou is more polished skill and experience. Shuna has her own set of talents and skills and dignity as a former princess....
Though however naive Shion may be, she is a sort of breath of fresh air in the midst of a battle of the wits, I would say.
Plus here's me having a feeling that that Dino guy is Yuuki.... And Clayman is being kinda "just flexing" his power over Milim, even though he's definitely being played.
I mean.. of all the useful skills she could've learned as a gift when Rimuru became demon lord.. she wanted the ability to cook..

Dude... I respect your opinion, but I don’t think you read my comment as a whole. My point is, Shion is selfish an unreasonable. And trust me, as a novel reader who read the novel so many times, she never had any personality/character development. She just got uselessly stronger because she’s connected with Rimuru. And if you’re talking about other executives, let me give you a warning now for a spoiler and let me spell out what every executive’s job:
•Diablo assisted Rimuru so many times. He is Rimuru’s strongest executive and most trusted subordinate. He was the only one knowing what’s going on and he did a great job hiding it. He went to locate enemies, etc. He did too many things for me to list btw.
•Benimaru is the general of Rimuru’s country. He don’t just fight, he commands the army, even without going to the front. He handled the country and the representative when Rimuru was out, etc.
•Geld was the frontline’s tank. He stopped many enemies on the battlefield, and he did not stopped just at that. His clan also contributed many things to their country, etc.
•The three demons followed Rimuru’s and Diablo’s words thoroughly and never acted on their own. They’re also very strong.
•The executives inside the dungeon guarded the dungeon very well and did a freakin great job on the war.
•Hakuro taught the young people to be a warriors.
•Gabiru commanded his army and subordinates, again, not just a fighter.
•Ranga—well, do I need to spell it out? He’s always by Rimuru’s side and always assisted him on battles and not just Rimuru, he was also assisting Rimuru’s other Guardian Lords.
•Shuna (Bonus—not really an executive) and like I always said, she did all the secretary’s jobs and helped in the fabrics and crafts works on the country.

Everyone wanted to try hard to be of help to Rimuru in many ways, but she just push what she wants to him if she wants something. She might have tried to get stronger because she wants to be the one standing on Rimuru’s side
Lmao this pal really hate her. I do agree. I always skip the part about her cooking cliche. But of you think about it shion is so useless she doesnt take part in every important event. Author-san might make a grand debut for Diablo and Veldora to those demon lord. But still I wish Diablo stabilizwd his position as rimuru's right hand anytime soon.
