No matter how many times I read this, it's still so sweet as ever. Heart-warming and touching, this manga never fails to make me smile and cry every time I reread it. It's very beautifully written.

WHEN THE INNER SADIST/DOM IN THE CUTE/SMALLER GUY AWAKENS ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

Mmkay binch. (my first reaction after reading lol) I don't know where to start after I've read just now from the start until ch.6.
This was quite a wild ride and I honestly wasn't ready for it. Not at all.
The heck. I've seen some cannibalism shit before, but nothing like this where it's in a manga, like it's just another common element of a story.
I was weirded out as hell. But yeah I got used to it until I read the chapter where Tsukuyomi was supposedly eaten. I was so ready to back out of this shit if Rurikawa actually let Kyougokuin(? my god his name is so difficult to read in either language) eat him. But yeah it didn't happen. So sadly I'm still in this mindfuck of a manga.

So about the happenings in chapter 6. I read it in fb so imma give a long summary of the chapter if anyone's dead curious. (I'm pretty messy in explaining so I apologize in advance) Please don't read further if you don't want spoilers.

So Kyougokuin reveals that he's actually an "aberrant" (the official tl might use a different term), which is the lowest caste, deemed as being monsters. While Rurikawa can't believe his ears, Kyougokuin asks him if he's beautiful. "Anyone would, if they see someone as ethereal as you-!" Rurikawa replies. Kyougokuin bitterly smiles, saying that aberrants are monsters that mimic the appearance of rare species.
~Explanation time~ Aberrants are the weakest and the ugliest of all species. Just as they were about to be extinct due to being inept in hunting or reproducing, one single aberrant was able to evolve - by eating an alpha. By doing that, he was able to become smarter and more beautiful. Just like that; fooling others into thinking he's a rare species. However, that is, in exchange for his life. He has to eat every three days, otherwise he'd die. (Yeah it's Kyougokuin we're talking about here.)
~End of detailed explanation time.~ Lazy summary ahead.
After that, Kyougokuin butters up to Rurikawa, saying that he's just a rabbit after all, and he could be eaten up by him any time. Of course that's just an act, and Kyougokuin slashes Rurikawa's neck afterwards.
----And then... next scene cuts to the hospital, where Kyougokuin lies on a bed. Rurikawa is sitting beside him, just lookin' fine. He explains to Kyougokuin that he collapsed from malnutrition, and that he had to carry three people to there (including himself. he got his strength back by eating meat.)
Tsukuyomi is there too. They encourage him to eat supplementary food so that he can be used to eating it.
I'll skip out on the other details here.
And the next scene goes to Tsukuyomi's place, where they find Kyougokuin a change of clothes for his stay in the hospital (though Rurikawa says it's unnecessary," Tsukuyomi insists his old clothes would suit Kyougokuin. So in the midst of searching, Tsukuyomi finds an old photo of him and Rurikawa. He doesn't show it to him and asks him instead if he's forgetting something important.
He told him that in the baths, Kyougokuin made him think as to why Rurikawa is kind to him, and told him to "remember", and that he was the one getting in the way of Rurikawa's "fate".
Rurikawa just kicks Kyougokuin's tail and tells him not to take the queen's taunting seriously. He leaves first and Tsukuyomi is left by himself and the photo.
So he talks to himself, that while they were together all this time, he never noticed. Even though they're both alphas, the photo is a picture of Tsukuyomi holding a smaller Rurikawa.

AAAAND THAT'S IT. that's the end of the chapter. Don't ask me, I don't know either. omg. The only thing I know is that betas age faster and die faster, as shown in chapter 5 with Tsukuyomi's son growing up quickly and then saying goodbye to him. So what does this imply. god. I'm so curious. I d o n t k n o w m a n. What exactly is between Tsukuyomi and Rurikawa. At the moment of writing I simply cannot make my brain cells function further.

I love everything about this manga. God.
The art style is cute (I can't believe it's in full color??), there's the right amount of comedy, and the fluffiness is just aidhshdkskdbjd??? IT'S TOO PERFECT I JUST LOVE THIS MANGA.

they're both been messed up and are messed up in their own way, but damn.... I'd rather not think too much about the implications of that open ending and think that they're just going to be happy together from now on...
