I wonder why she was called ugly?
Why was she deemed so unattractive by everyone? Even her dad didn’t sell her unlike her other sibling. I’m really curious. Is it the freckles? (I know they’re an undesirable feature in Korea-they’re always drawn on characters depicted as ugly lol)
My theory is her features go against the beauty standard but she is actually quite pretty. Like her features mesh well together.

Honestly, i think part of it was bc of the abuse, and when she was born, jt probably wasnt thw best of circumstances. If we see how she was treated, she is physically abused, and is def dirtier than the other kids bc of their poverty. We see her bruises clear up after staying in the mansion, so it might not have been that she was super ugly, but just bc of the abuse
Another thing might be her sister. We see that she was plotting against her, and is "prettier" than the mc, which could have made her insecurity worse
I think it's the freckles too, since it's like an odd thing to them and this is historical manhwa so people then wouldn't understand this is a natural feature. Adding to that, the bruises could've just added more to looking 'bad'

Ok so blondie is creepy for me and I don’t like him for being a creepy stalker who killed Brian, eagerly waited for his reincarnation, and then groomed Ian. But him kissing Ian made me excited.
