3. its super rushed and info gets thrown around in an unorganized way so it kinda fumbles the storytelling just a tad bit imo
I agree w this, and that’s why I’m dropping it. I was really into it in the beginning and was excited to see the story play out but I’m honestly just so disappointed now. Every chapter is like him saying she’s cute and her saying he’s handsome and then him doing some killer stuff and then going back to being charming. That’s it. That’s all the chapters. It’s just disappointing how shallow it is

I get what your saying (and for the last statement about that utterly frustrating maid with to much time on her hands) but for Kate I think it’s important to consider her point of view then look at her words.
If you take her ‘like’ to be, well-like love in it sincerity, then he won’t like her. She means he doesn’t like her enough to be with her, he has a passing crush. And why wouldn’t he, we all start there then once you’ve been together longer (not necessarily dating) it grows to passion and love.
She says here that ‘like’ isn’t enough for her, which is right. At the beginning where he only fancies her, if he meets opposition (say from parents or community) then his feeling won’t be strong enough to keep holding on to her, then they will break up and her reputation will have been ruined for nothing.
Other than considering these I don’t have anything else to ask you to do ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ hope it doesn’t sound like I’m ranting at you. The fact that she was all ‘see your not chafing after me so you’ve don’t like me’ toooooooootally showed that she wasn’t him to chance her because she does like him. I think that's the point. Her helping him even though he hurt her so much just shows how strong she's gotten. Yes, she wouldn't do that for just anyone. Same situation, she wouldn't do it for Kumji, and she wouldn't do it for Hiyou. Neither one of those enemies hurt her as terribly as Soo Won did. and yet she does it for him, because unlike those two, along with the countless others she's fought against, Soo Won is good for Kouka. As much as I hate him, and as much as she probably hates him, he is a good king. He takes care of her people. He wants to protect them. So he is useful to her for now.
I don't think it's their old friendship, I think it's the fact that this person who protects and cares for the country she loves is in pain, and she will always help someone like that.

if im not lazy and actually make it from scratch, I do
1 cup of milk
1 and 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2-3 teaspoons of cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Dayum, that sounds really good! I'm not normally one for pancakes, if I'm going to have something like that I usually make home-made Belgian Waffles:
1 cup of flour
1/2 tablespoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 cup of oil
1 egg separated
1) Mix the dry ingredients together and make a well in the centre
2) Pour the egg YOLK and other wet ingredients into the well and mix it together (adding 1/2 the milk at first and then gradually adding more as you mix)
3) Mix the egg WHITE in a different bowl until stiff, and then gently fold the resulting foam into the rest of the batter with a spatula.
It sounds complicated, but actually only takes me about 10 minutes to make and is SUPER yummy ;)
