The characters are 1 dimensional and they're hard to care about in the slightest, the plot way too quick and so uninteresting that I can barely remember what I've read, and the first 'major' villian is a huge let down. It's like a badly written fanfiction by an 11 year old who doesn't understand anything about story telling and characterisation.

Liam is getting a little too much flack. Cavo fell in love rather fast because Liam is the first person to give him positive attention while Liam is falling in love slowly because he's used to people throwing themselves at him. They're two very different people, both of them complicated in their own way, it's quite amazing that they're falling in love at all.
Trust me, I understand that we all just want Cavo to be loved but you're only really seeing it from his, rather idealistic, point of view. He's not had outside influence other than fear (however unwarranted) and because of that he's quite amazingly pure. Look at it from Liam's perspective. He's handsome, powerful, and grew up amongst humans who certainly influenced him. He likely doesn't have the best outlook on love (an unfortunately common thing in us humans) because he's been tought that way. It's likely that he never even wanted to fall in love in the first place, so his heart simply isn't open to it. However, due to his power, there's likely a part of him that understands Cavo- which is why he's so accepting anyway. Doesn't mean he has to open himself up emotionally simply because Cavo has. That's just life. (It's honestly great social commentary on humanity vs. the monsters we so easily fear.)
But look at how beautiful it is when Liam does consider Cavo's feelings. When Liam starts to feel them himself.
So I don't really understand why he gets ragged on for being cruel. After all, he's the human....
Which is an overly ambiguous way of saying humans suck and that Liam's gonna have to learn to not suck anymore even if he can't not be human ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Honestly not a very good MC so far. She's just silly to me- I understand that she's just trying to benefit from what appears to be an awful situation but come on:
1.) She had weeks before the banquet to read the rest of the story but she didn't and so she really doesn't know anything. A half a story is nothing to base your actions around. Things change and you need to be prepared.
2.) She's keeping the wrong people around. If she wanted to manipulate the situation to her benefit she should have NEVER involved Kiki. She knows he's unreliable and 'loves' the redhead, he's gonna waffle around as proved before when she caught them cheating.
3.) She keeps putting herself in terrible situations with the Prince. She lets her jealously control her and honestly, I understand. But you've known this man for... 10ish minutes, only interacted with him twice and managed to piss him off both times. Yet the only thing you're afraid of is him falling for the redhead? Are you trying to die?
4.) She even thought that Kiki might have swapped the necklaces, but she NEVER took precaution. She never took care with her thoughts and blatantly disreguarded evidence that he was reading her mind- this worked in her favor but could have gone so wrong. (I admit this part is way too logical to ever fit in a webtoon like this but I just can't let it go.)
Those are only a few of my issues with her. But so far she seems like a weak character and I honestly hope the Prince finds someone else other than Ginger or the redhead (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Dude .. if it’s not the ginger then it’s the redhead . The prince is so damn unlucky . You know ... for once having a gentle and soft main female character is quite nice . I also like strong female lead but not a stupid and silly main female character like this ... im totally leaving dude unless she change

What can I say, I like pretty boys and handsome women. Both hit all the marks for what I find most attractive for their gender. I can't wait to see them finally get together
(๑•ㅂ•)و✧ they'd make one heck of a beautiful couple... Also, they really have perfect chemistry and I'm so glad. Normally the chemistry isn't there for most manga I've read but this really hits home (▰˘◡˘▰)

(2/2)(serious now) ( ̄へ ̄)
Five, DO NOT THINK WE CONDONE RAPE FOR READING THIS (or creating, on part of author-San)! DO YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT UKE WOULD REALIZE HIS LOVE FOR SENSEI WAS POINTLESS WITHOUT REMOVING HIS VIRGINITY, THEREFORE ALLOWING HIM TO CONNECT WITH (AND LOVE) SEME? No. For him, his virginity was an idea he clung to- the ever lasting hope that if he just waits a little bit longer, that single second more, then eventually Sensei will realize his love for Uke and take it for himself.
Removing his virginity (yes, it had to be this way- it was only ever going to be through assault that Uke would truly no longer be able to connect Sensei with his virginity and, therefore, love) took that wall down and allows other potential love interests (re:Seme) in. Uke would not have given it to anyone else unless Seme told him it was one of the requirements for him to give Sensei political backing and even then, Uke's virginity would have simply taken on a different meaning for his love of Sensei. I.E. "I gave up my virginity to someone I DID NOT love for the sake of the person I DID love."- what he's willing to sacrifice in the name of the love he has for sensei.
Doing it this way removed the meaning behind it for Uke. Sure, he'd wake up and regret it (definitely hate himself and Seme for it) but he'd also get over it (as that is the mind-frame of the time period and I simply see his character as the type to cope with this quickly and move on... Mostly, anyway) and when he no longer has that constant reminder of "my virginity equates to my love for Sensei", he'll eventually be able to look to Seme for love (of course it's going to take some plot scenarios where they're forced to interact and grow closer, learning to ask for forgiveness- probably just occasionally regretting in Seme's case- and being able to forgive in turn).
Does that get my point across? It's horrible but it's not real, it's just a smutty story that uses sex as plot devices..

(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づCan we all take a moment to appreciate this bomb ass art?? Like, holy shit it's nice to see such beautifully crafted characters. That's how you know that the author is really dedicated to their work, they're willing to carefully draw the characters in such detail for each panel.
(⊙…⊙ )Second, let's admit our eyeballs burn each time Seme (I can't spell his name for shit so I won't even try) is in a panel; I can count on one hand how often his eyes aren't bugging out of his skull (I personally think he just never blinks when he does that, he could do it for hours and not care). Which, props for actually making him look batshit insane.
Third, I feel like author-san (hush, they deserve the weeb respect based on art alone) is terrified of drawing hairlines. They do it a few times, but mostly the characters wear headband-things.
Fourth, nice touch with the "call me Lord" there, you can really tell that he's beginning to care- even though he's a bastard for taking advantage of Uke while he was drunk. (1/2) (not serious stuff)

Kinda feel bad for the 9th Prince. He just wanted Liu to live a good life, even if it ment he couldn't have her the way he wanted.

That's the same for just about everyone in the palace, from the Emperor to the consorts, etc. They all choose someone to support. He didn't father the child, and that's what he was put to death for. That's why I sympathize. The real culprit is the Emperor: he is a fool, and he doesn't keep his word (to the first wife). Because of his fickle emotions, the women have to live in an uproar. But yeah, he's not fully innocent, but he didn't do the crime he was killed for, and he was another dupe for a plotting woman.

I agree and I do think his ending was sad but if you participate in the harem battle then you must be prepared to lose your life. It's a ruthless battle, he picked a side and even if it was innocent, he still helped her(which would indirectly hurt a lot of other women in the harem). Him losing his life is because the side he stood on lost.

I guess I see it as inevitable. He was her childhood friend, and he was a prince--there was for him not really an option but to help her. Helping her seem to be empress by sign and the child blessed by sign are pretty mild compared to real harem/palace maneuvering (ie, lying to get someone killed, or poisoning, or other things that get people killed). The Empress was sidelined by the emperor, not by pink-hair. Pink hair was surviving how she knew (tears, manipulation). Truth is, the real enemy was and is the emperor, and he's the one who should die for allowing the cruel harem situation and breaking his promise to the queen. He's the lying, cheating bastard who should die. And he's only a cheating bastard cause of the promise and sidelining the empress. The fact is, an emperor could have many wives and concubines...and the empress knew that. It was common in many cultures for rulers to have multiple women. If you want a man to be faithful to only you, don't marry the Chinese emperor. :-/ .

I think they just ment that by aiding Liu he automatically becomes an accomplice. He knew what would happen and did it anyway. But if you look at the reason he did it, it's not selfish like everyone else's reasons are. They looked out for themselves, he looked out for the woman he loved.
Which is also why I pity the original host of the MC's body. She, out of everyone, truely loved the Emperor enough to sacrifice herself multiple times (and not for the sole reason of advancing her political status) but as soon as an new girl came along the Emperor tossed her aside like a broken toy and chose Liu over her repeatedly.

Exactly like LalondeBii say an accomplice. If you put together the two pages it get a little easier to understand the original timeline.

And if we read this latest chapter, she (pink hair) was reincarnated after herself being bullied and abandoned and dying in the cold palace. So, she's like a revenge MC coming back to get her own. That makes her actually more sympathetic. How is the new mc any different than the pink-hair (coming back to rise up and kill her rivals.)

But it exactly like what the empress said. She knew how the harem is, but still in her second life choose to enter, and schemes to to hurt the empress, and don’t forget the dead child of the other concubine. Is the empress the one who hurt her in the past life? It was the emperor that let all that happened. But what happens to the emperor, the main culprit of her demise in the past? She suck up to him, loves him, bear his child, hurt others for him. She was pitiful in the past life, but this life she choose it on her own violation. She knew the harem game, still willingly participated in it. Her ending and the emperor’s are befitting, only, the emperor should have suffers twice as hers. Having many wives doesn’t mean it’s fine to have some suffers. If he can’t handle his harem, he should not have one to begin with.

The emperoris shit, but we have lots of these reincarnation ones where the woman tries to get revenge and the guy loves them this time when he didn't love them the time before. She's like an example of that. In her case, she didn't want revenge. She wanted the Emperor. And if the empress had reincarnated, herself, who is to say she would not still want the emperor and fight for him by killing whoever got in the way? The previous empress should have killed the emperor, not herself. the previous pinkhead should have killed the emperor (and does now), but she wanted his love and she got it (for a while). the only reason the emperor got punished is cause this is not a woman who loved him--she's an avenger/assassin. That is why she can be cold and calculating about harming him. The other two women--pinkhead and empress--actually loved him and wanted to be loved. So, it makes sense that in reincarnating, pinkhead figures out how to maneuver for his heart.
Also, she may not have had the choice to not be in the harem.....she may have reincarnated already in the harem (like in so many of these transmigration or reincarnation stories ,they don't go back to being babies or kids all the time.)

It stated in one of the earlier chapters that Liu (pinkette) reincarnated from a past life where she read the book. It's also stated that she was willing to murder to do so, heavily implying that she has already killed people.
Liu didn't really love the emperor, she just wants to be empress. She was good at acting in love, but can you honestly say what she did had any root in it? Look at the original host of the MC's body, she got to her position because she was willing to suffer and die for the emperor whereas Liu was only willing to torment/kill others for the emperor (for the main purpose of ruling next to him- I think it was even said she grew up poor-) when it really wasn't needed. All the people she hurt loved him.
As for the difference between the actual MC's actions and Liu's? Motive and social (or mythical) standing/duty. The MC wanted to enact revenge on behalf of the woman who was so wronged she killed herself (which, yeah, not good. But it's still better than Liu's reason) and Liu had a get rich quick scheme that didn't care who was in her way. Add in the fact that the MC is basically a divine being acting as both judge and executioner for other's sins while Liu is a reincarnated girl who wanted to live in the lap of luxury (even though the 9th Prince genuinely loved her- and we're made to believe she loved him back when we see her reaction to his death- and could have given her a comfortable life) as empress.

I can't remember the name, but it was about a goddess (cough- reincarnated from another world where this was a game- cough) loosing power and having to make people fall in love with her to get it back. The more difficult it is to get a person to fall in love, the bigger the power up. There was a 'mission' with a harem that was a lot like the one here. It's been a while since I've read it actually, about a year or so.
I'm glad the parents died. Like, who the hell should get away with poisoning a child? Or just standing by and letting it happen. I really hated them. (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
Also... The brothers are a little annoying to me. I understand that they're better people than they used to be but they can really come across as uncaring at times, which makes sense considering their station, I just hope there's a lot more character development in their future. If so, then they're actually really great characters and really well done (if the progression makes sense rather than just progression for convenience's sake).
I also really want to know what the older/past versions of themselves were thinking too.
Either way I still wanna punch them at least once. #-.-)
I really hope that Hari grows into her own person rather than hover too much around the charater development of the brothers, if that makes any sense? Like, I don't want her sole purpose to be interacting with the boys (which is a little far fetched for this kind of story), I would really like for her to honestly develop into a 3 dimensional character. (=・ω・=)
And can we please get a satisfying resolution with the Aunt? Because shoving her once and threatening her is not nearly enough.
(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Once again, what were the older/past brothers thinking/doing? From what Hari said about how they reacted to her getting married I want to think they were oblivious but I don't know. To me is seems like they had a mix of emotions for Hari that were really interesting: hatred for her 'replacing' Arina, protectiveness that they would have hated her too much to express, love that they might have realized too late after they already lost her, and resentment that she was leaving them anyway (even knowing they have no right).
Or that's what I'd hope? It would really add an entire dimension to the story. Like I said, I really want to know what they though/felt.
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Wait... who poisoned who? I’m confused
The candy the mom was giving her. It was heavily impled that it was laced with some sort of medication for Arina and she was giving it to Hari. Otherwise, why be so angry about it? Or even just eat it to keep Hari from it?
I understand that it was something 'specially made' for Arina but even then it wouldn't have caused the father to lash out like that when the oldest brother ate it... Unless there was something to be angry/scared about.
Could just be that I'm too used to those sort of dramas but that what it really seems like to me.
I think it was implied that the mother had an illness, I think it is a mental illness where she thought Hari was Arina(Arina was often sick and I think that was medicine). Imo I don't really mind the brothers since it is quite understandable, I wouldn't someone to replace my dead sister too.
Wouldn't want**
Even so, the father knew about it and wasn't going to stop it until the brother said anything. Plus she really can't help the fact that these people adopted her as a replacement. I completely understand why the brothers are angry but I wouldn't be cruel to the other person, especially because she's so young that she really has no way of knowing or orchestrating anything. She's just as much a victim, if not more so.
She has to live in the shadow of Arina and gets abused for it with no one she can really turn to. The brothers have each other.
yeh i guess ther is that one too ://
