Why the fuck do this man got on Nikes in 1973??? Man I wish the author put more effort into finding actual clothing that was popular of that decade cause I’m confused. This don’t feel like the 70s, this feel like 2023 lol

Bye you’re so dumb as the other person said it was founded in 1964 and while Nikes didn’t become really popular til the 80s, in the 70s the Nike blazers came out and became popular during the 70s though adidas were more of a popular shoe during the 70s. Also the blazers came out in 1972 and were popular so 1974 and wearing Nike is not unrealistic as the blazer was prob still popular and a trend within those 2 years.

I just worded that badly, yes I know Nikes came out but if you look at his shoe style it is very modern and isn’t an exact model of shoe that was popular during that time. I am coming from a creative standpoint where honesty his character feels out of place in this time period. Which is why i said the author needs to look at what was popular of that decade lol. Because it’s clear that they tried to get a look book of American fashion, but just incorporated modern looks from what it seams.
Yeah the translation needs some help, but why do they have on American clothes in England?? England doesn’t have American football either. Idk if it’s just me but the historical inaccuracy is annoying along with the weird translated chapters
I only know this because my FIL will travel to watch the Chiefs play anywhere and they’ve played in the UK and other European countries.
But
There is a British American Football Association that is like our NFL, or something. Idk the details. It’s not as big overseas as in the states, but they do have it.
But I do agree that’s there way too much American university culture feel it is prob not how England would have it, even if the university had American Football.
I also didn’t realize people wore letterman’s jackets in college XD no one I knew did, I always thought it was a high school thing lmao
Yes they do have American football in England and as for letterman jackets a lot of universities and colleges have clothing and jackets with their logo on it. It’s not a new trend at all.
Oh I did not know that. I just noticed there were a lot of American clothing and sports that just feel really out of place hence the time period being set in 1973
No no its not a thing here I'm literally a uni student in England and NEVER would I have guessed this was in England, and it is absolutely not something like NFL it would be a small minority cause its hated here
